For the first time since mid April, Houston's team ERA is below 5 (4.92). It reached 6.47 just 3 weeks ago. Pitching overall has definitely got better. On the flip side, Astro batting has taken a bit of a dive the last three weeks. Houston has gone from an AL leading (2nd in MLB) .267 batting average to a now 3rd in AL (11th in MLB) .244 team batting average. Astros have gone from averaging 5.7 runs per game to 4.4. I think the offense had to take somewhat of a dip with so many on IL. Pitching is doing about as good as can be expected with who they have on staff.

I wish UIL had the same set up as Louisiana and did best of 3 series for the state championships. Two "local" teams won state across the river in baseball this year: Westlake, and Moss Bluff Sam Houston (wife's alma mater). All of Louisiana's baseball state championship games were played in Sulphur, which surprised me.

I believe at least one of those was a senior.

Finished the month of May off with a sweep over the royals. Friday W 9-1 Saturday W 7-6 Sunday W 6-3 Heading to st. louis for a 3 game series. Season record: 28-31

Crazy part is for whatever reason these kids don't think AAU and Playing UIL Texas Basketball isn't enough exposure to get them to the next level. I'm sure Moore has plenty of DI Offers already. Only thing he will get at Oak hill that he couldn't get at BU is Tougher Competition on consistent basis.

Correct. Liberty, Katy, Lake Creek and Pearland all won State. BH beat all four of these State Champion teams, three of them by blowouts. BH 11, Liberty 0 BH 2, Katy 1 BH 10, Lake Creek 2 BH 10 Pearland 0 BH did not just dominate the whole state. BH dominated the State Champions from five largest divisions in the state. And the whole team (except for one player) is coming back. Eagles soared.

It's possible but somewhat unlikely to meet Katy. They are likely in the 6A-1 bracket most times, and BH very very likely to be in 6A-ll. I would think.

I sure hope it's not Jones. If it is, that would be three different high schools in 4 year career. (3 in three years to be exact) This transfer thing is getting way out of hand. Playing for 2 different high schools in 4 years can be tolerated. Three or more? That's egregious.
