The biggest problem i see this year has been the lack of talent at wr we have no ability to stretch the field and as a result teams can load the box...our defensive issues are well noted...this year has nothing to do with Monte Barrow or Scott Rich for that matter its Jimmy and Joe's...every team goes through years like that heck we had one of those years recently in 2022

I've never seen person criticize a coach more than CCRed. Damn! Go get a degree and find somewhere to coach. Obviously he's done something right during his coach career because he has some hardware to show for it. Where's yours? 🤣 I can assure you that nobody's perfect.

Barrow was given a bunch of snotty, spoiled brats who didn’t adhere to or care about rules his last few years yet he still tried his hardest to instill professionalism and morals into them like always. Two things about Barrow are that he can turn mediocrity into greatness and young boys into men, but the kids have to want it. I think it’s been long enough that you people should stop blaming the state of bulldog football on Monte Barrow and maybe start looking at yourselves and your sons.

What grade is he?

We saw it the same way. Lucky some balls bounced in our favor. Even though literally that last kickoff was supposed to be bounced and end the game. "Barry" Jefferson gets stronger every game. Just a junior too. Without a doubt the 2 best athletes in district showed some stuff out there tonight. The other being Silsbee QB. Getting pressure on him late was the key. But... where was he on the final play?

There is still a chance for a three way tie for 1st. (as long as HF, Silsbee and WO-S all win next week, then HF beat WO-S while Silsbee defeats Shepherd in final week.) If that happens, Silsbee will be the #1 seed. Tigers finish with a +18 in points (21 point win over HF, 3 point loss to WO-S). Mustangs are a +3 and HF a -21. The point max per game is 21 so HF could beat WO-S by 22 or more but still would be a 0 in points. Best HF could do in that three way tie would be to beat WO-S by at least 12 or more points to get #2 seed. 11 points or less would have WO-S #2 seed. Of course, Shepherd still has a say in all this with having to play HF and Silsbee final two weeks. Also, WO-S wins out, they are district champs all to themselves. I am still sticking to my prediction: 1. WO-S 2. Silsbee 3. HF That 4th will be Shepherd now but I had either them or Jasper in that spot.

Just on the option play call? Yup horrible play calling after the first time it went so negative should have trashed that play call. But no let’s run it again inside the 20 and fumble again…. Gestring did great and ran tough… kids got a bright future.

3rd qtr mental implosion... Two Point Conversion that anyone could have scored on... Wow. Then The 30 yard penalty(s)...wow. Then the kickoff return touch for some weird reason at the 1 yd line...wow. Then the muffed punt...wow. All of that happened in a total of 3 mins sandwiched around two 4 min drives for Silsbee that gave them buptkis. Add in Barry Sanders (Jefferson)... Congrats Stangs. See ya in the playoffs hopefully.

Lumberton dominated this game up front from start to finish. Raider run game was just way too much for the Hawks to handle. This will eliminate HJ while clinching the playoffs for Lumberton, BC, LC-M and Huffman. Seeds still remain to be determined. LC-M is 5-0. BC, Lumberton and Huffman are all 4-1. All the other teams (HJ, Livingston, Vidor and Liberty) can be no better than 3-4 with two games remaining. Livingston can only get to 2-5.

LC should be favored against West Fork. And I think you’re right about Huntsville being 3rd. Even if either PNG or Montgomery loses both of their next two, they’d be 5-2 but have the head-to-head vs Huntsville. Next week is for the 1 seed and at least a piece of the district championship.
