  1. Past hour
  2. Nothing. Don’t worry about it. I thought I was clear when explained it. Or maybe you just don’t want to understand. That’s typically how it goes when trying discuss competitive sports and the word ‘demographics’ is involved. Amh. Like I said, it’s good. 😎
  3. LOL! Might as well!
  4. I watch them play NB unicorns 😂 last night I believe if PAM secondary make the tackles in open space and don’t give up the deep ball when they take shots when they get a reason to of course. PAM has a great shot in this game. Tackle 22 we win. We have to cover everyone including the TE. Tackle, tackle, tackle!! Hold penalties to a minimum as well. PAM by 10
  5. Soulja what the hell are you talking about? My whole point is this NS team talent wise is probably the worst since Aymond took over & they still rolled through Region 3. Which says more about the quality of football in the Houston than it does NS. So yes it would be different than other years because this team isn’t nowhere near as talented as the NS teams you’re speaking of. A coach on the staff told me earlier in the year that they’re playing with a bunch on kids on varsity that would’ve been on the Sophomore team & JV in a normal year.
  6. I can agree with that now that I think about it. They both have the Katy model as far as style of play.
  7. I married into the whole purple cult thing and genuinely love it but I’ve for a few questions. The city line and school district lines are so confusing. You’ve got a lot of Port neches homes that are Nederland school district, a part of Groves that is PA school district, etc. I’ve heard numerous PN citizens opposed to apartments, etc, things to expand the enrollment of our school. While I don’t agree with open enrollment, it’s hard to grow when there’s limited space for people to move to. Is it an old way of thinking? Is it people who are stuck in their ways and don’t want to grow? It almost feels like “we gotta keep the trash out” mentality. Hopefully I’m wrong. Coming at it from a football perspective, it would do them some good to gain about 200 kids and move up to D1. It would make sense logistically. I’m not trying to start any bs, it’s just something that’s been on my mind.
  8. Super PAM run this year comes to an end vs SV. Just a much better coached team that plays defense. PAM has an excellent offense but not great on defense. I will be surprised if they get more than 21 on SV and probably give up at least 35
  9. Just FYI: I contacted a Memorial coach and BH coach this afternoon and both confirmed no one got ejected from last night's game. Just wanted to clear that up. Enjoy the rest of yalls day.
  10. ND has no conference to sue them. Kansas State and Iowa State are being sued by Big XII to the tune of $500,000 each.
  11. Notre Dame pouting
  12. Aledo's a nice place. Get some retired pro athletes come settle in that area sometimes also. I think Diboll's JerMichael Finley, who played TE for the packers, moved there after his NFL career to be a trainer. His son's one of their top receivers now if I'm not mistaking. They got a lot of resources 💰 to make things happen there and tend to attract the right people to keep things going.
  13. Today
  14. Hey anti-American libs, where was your outrage over this? As usual, never heard a peep. I guess oops would cover it for you. Google search: The Abbey Gate bombing on August 26, 2021, was a suicide attack carried out by an ISIS-K member, Abdul Rahman al-Logari, that killed 13 U.S. service members and more than 100 Afghan civilians. Days later, the U.S. military conducted a drone strike targeting what they believed was an imminent threat to troops at the airport. This strike, ordered under President Biden's authority, mistakenly killed 10 innocent civilians, including seven children and one aid worker, Zemerai Ahmadi, not at Abbey Gate itself but a few kilometers away in Kabul. Key details regarding these two separate events: The Abbey Gate Bombing Perpetrator: The attack was a suicide bombing conducted by an ISIS-K militant. Casualties: It resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members and approximately 160 Afghan civilians who were attempting to flee the country during the evacuation. Biden's response: President Biden vowed to hunt down those responsible and ordered a counterstrike. The U.S. Drone Strike (August 29, 2021) The order: Following the Abbey Gate attack, the U.S. military received intelligence of another potential attack and tracked a white vehicle, believing it to contain explosives. The mistake: A U.S. drone strike hit the vehicle, but it was a "tragic mistake". The driver was an aid worker with no connections to ISIS-K or threats against U.S. troops. Civilian casualties: The strike and subsequent secondary explosions killed 10 members of the same family, including one man and six children (along with three other adults). The U.S. Central Command later concluded that the drone strike was a "tragic mistake" and apologized for the loss of life, stating none of the victims were connected to ISIS-K or posed a threat.
  15. I don’t think our military should release videos of our technology during “covert” operations for national security reasons. Dems and their war crimes claims. Such wussies. Why didn’t you libs cry foul during the houthi bombings. I’m sure lots of bombs hit their targets killing some and wounding others. I don’t recall having to rescue the wounded. I guess you never watched the Apache night strikes in Iraq either. You people are what’s wrong with our country. Anti-Americans….all of you.
  16. North shore running through the region. Would that be any different than any other year? Means that everything has balanced out. NS is still its dominant self running thought competition. Despite NS AND other local teams being affected by demographics and lots of new schools…
  17. No one beating Carthage just give them trophy already
  18. What am I reaching about & what teams did I discredit? Please let me know…point was a bad NS team still running through region 3 shows how Houston area football is going downhill…this NS team wouldn’t make it out the second round in the DFW area
  19. WOS by 21..Sinton has not seen speed like WOS all year
  20. Yeah I was thr in conroe being from la grange ya shut him down only team to do it
  21. Your 5k number is misleading. Like many school districts, Aledo ISD serves more than just one town. They have around 34k people living within the Aledo ISD area. this is not an argument for or against what you’re saying. I’m just adding clarification.
  22. Point is I think you’re reaching and discrediting teams that play with the hand that they’re dealt. I’m surprised that I had to even explain this to you….
  23. Well, we got 2 Texas teams to represent. Hopefully one of them brings it home. Horns will be in the mix next year.
  24. Ok this makes a lot more sense…but this tourney has went down hill since I was in school.
  25. What the hell does this have to do with Houston?
  26. If you are going to host, you want the host teams to play. It's their facilities being used and it sells tickets. That's just good busines. As for other tourneys, you only get to play three tournaments in a season. Have to have them played by the end of December since all the districts will be into district play by January. So you really only have this week (Dec. 4-6) next week (Dec. 11-13) and then the Christmas time to play your tourneys. So in their case, they have to not host a tourney (YMBL/BISD) which is a money maker for the district, and go play elsewhere in order to play better teams for just that one week. I looked at tourneys for this week and really the only one that stood out for competition was the Mansfield ISD tourney. It had several good teams in it. Also Conroe Grand Oaks was good. But it's just one week. Like I stated earlier, United will be playing in LaGrange La. tourney this coming week and then play in Dallas ISD tourney during Christmas break. West Brook is playing in a tough Cypress Hoops tourney this week and then play in Conroe ISD tourney at Christmas, I think both teams will get their fair share of competition in those tourneys. Therefore them hosting a tourney for this past week is not that big a deal on the competition level. (even though Cy Springs and Angleton took each team to the brink of losing). It's more important to keep that tourney going for all involved. I know about why some teams don't come to YMBL but that's old news. Things have changed from a few years ago on how it's run. I do agree that the tourney could be better on the competition side of things. Also hate that Lamar no longer hosts the tourney but I am glad they decided to not have a girls tourney at the same time. Allowed to get more boys teams in.
