  1. Past hour
  2. See the above referenced comment. You went off track here wedge.
  3. I wonder if the running backs, wide receivers, line backers, corner backs, safeties, defensive and offensive linemen, quarterbacks , or kickers had anything to do with the previous coaches job performance????? Probably not since they had such " mediocre " players and the were so great and in such good athletic condition they just played and coached themselves 🤔🤔🤔
  4. Brother Man knew. He wasn’t wrong.
  5. It was sad to hear.
  6. Damn, coming on kind of strong. Nunan was a hell of a lineman at Hardin and I will root for him at the next level, but there is no denying who was the heart and soul of that Hardin team last year. Jones was a leader on both sides of the ball, was a hell of a good football player, and probably gave his OL and DL all the credit for his achievements. No need to come on the back end and diminish his accomplishments just because your son/cousin/brother/friend's name wasn't printed in the headlines.
  7. Today
  8. I saw that. It was Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana. He tells it like it is.
  9. If you ever were actually poor (not just ‘fake poor’), you’ll find many ways to save and not go back. I used to be somewhat of a hoarder myself. There wasn’t a single thing I couldn’t find another use for… Sometimes, I’d get around to doing something with it—when I was wasn’t working OT to pay the bills—and sometimes stuff just piled up. I think I just never had much growing up, so I collected and didn’t throw away. That’s how I see it looking back anyway. I stopped, and cleaned most everything out of our house when my Mom passed away. My folks’ house was a fire hazard from all the junk. There was literally so much (not including storage units) that the EMT’s had to take her out in a body bag because a gurney wouldn’t fit in any door. Wake up call.
  10. My Father grew up poor living on a house boat and helping his Dad trap and shrimp for a living. He made a good life for himself but never forgot his childhood and never left me forget how comfortable I had it and to work hard to keep it.
  11. Northwestern State wins the opening game of the tournament over UTRGV, 6-5. UTRGV is likely the team that Lamar wanted to immediately pick up a loss. SFA and Lamar will play in a little less than 1 and 1/2 hours. McNeese beat Nicholls by a final of 11-3 in Hammond. The Christians play the Lions in the night cap in that bracket.
  12. I wouldn’t want to be poor. Worked too hard to get a little bit ahead. But, some people today think being poor is a little different than I recall when I was growing up literally dirt poor. Not sure ‘poor’ is still having a $1000 cell phone, expensive sneakers, PlayStations and similar, and at least one big screen tv with some type of streaming service.
  13. No doubt the poor do well in this country. I recently saw a congressman in a committee not sure which state he was from make a statement that a single mom making $12k a year qualified for about $62000 in benefits. Food, Housing, Healthcare, Childcare etc. Unbelievable
  14. I'm the poster child for middle class. You are so correct about the poverty level - our poor has it pretty good with Government housing with heat and ac.....at least compared to say Mexico's poor........at least they have an incentive to do better (starvation)
  15. Agree. Purchasing power is being hurt across all income levels—except the poor. The poor are still faring the same if they are on government assistance. That may change in 2027 with some of the new rules. Inflation is caused by the government in this case—as almost always. The same people who are claiming they want control to help are the same people that created the mess in the first place. But, there are actually less people in the so-called ‘lower middle class & poverty levels’ than ever before, and it has little to do with government policy.
  16. I am not saying the whole middle class is being wiped out but if you’re are on the low end of what is considered middle class your buying power has deteriorated greatly these last 6 years. Inflation is just a tax that was not legislated because of government overspending which robs the buying power of taxpayers. Classify it how you want but the American Taxpayer is getting bent over!
  17. I like Trump's approach!
  18. The Poster people for mental illness!
  19. Why would this even be debatable?
  20. Lmao…..Trump just might do this…..
  21. Inflation doesn’t erase an entire group of people as you claimed. But, no one said inflation wasn’t affecting folks either. Who/what causes inflation? What I was stating was that politicians, pundits, and public polling don’t use actual data. Also, there’s no agreed upon definition of middle class. The people using the ‘hollowing out of the middle class’ argument just want more control—either Left, Right, Socialist, or Populist. That should bother you. I believe you’re more of a free market type individual like myself. Read the study. There are many more like it.
  22. I remember Chavis Gregory from the 2012 squad. For some reason, I can't recall who McCollister is and year?
  23. yes, that's our stance on the subject matter. I believe most would agree that Jones is capable of playing defense on multiple levels across the ncaa ranks. but, for some reason, unknown to anyone, he was left behind to do it on his own, from what i am told by a particular coach.
  24. Chavis McCollister from Tenaha.
  25. Josh Allen is a good example.
