Huh? The Constitution doesn’t address political parties at all. The Democratic & Republican Parties stop 3rd Parties. Rules that are changed: 1. Ballot access minimums & dates. 2. Debate access. 3. Defense Dept. briefing access is denied as well as other government data. 4. Funding assistance not provided like the 2 major parties. Those pop into my head right off the top.

'zero tolerance policy' during Jeep Weekend

If I rented a beach cabin or even more realistic driving down there to play a gig ( I actually have one at the Gulf Range July 12th) and was arrested for a taillight out or not using my blinker, I would be outraged. I get they needed to do something, but I think this was a bit much and will effect future beach rentals. I have a FB friend who rented a cabin months ago and had beachfront access but could not use the beach.....all sorts of problems this weekend. -

I only had to make it to 57 to get it, luckily early detection, worked out. -
I guess it depends on which side you’re on. Stros could have “easily” won the 1st game and that would put them at 3 of 4. Lol

What third party was ever a threat and what rules are changed? The Constitution stops any third party (which there isn’t really one). The biggest threat to third parties is third parties.

'zero tolerance policy' during Jeep Weekend

Yep. It's my understanding too. I'm just wondering if other parts of the beach were available, why the jeepers, partiers, etc. weren't just diverting their little operation to those unrestricted areas. -

Most Jeepers are not the problem. It’s the other idiots looking for a party. -
I can see the absurdity of it all, especially the part about Comey being a nature photographer, which there is no shame in that, except that these shells weren’t really photogenic, in my humble opinion, so why post them to the internet and delete?

If I was going to relax at the beach, it would not be during Jeep weekend. -

From what I understand, the beach they were allowed to drive on was one-way only. I also hear that locals who rent their cabins, allowed officers to stay rent free to put them in the scene 24 hours. This info is from my wife’s Facebook (I don’t do FB) so there is a +/- factor. -
Because the Constitution says.

No prayers? -
Ranked choice voting could threaten the two party system. I think it’s great and I wish Texas would adopt it. This “binary” choice system is bs. It’s not even binary. We’re just voting for one or the other side of the same coin.
-
In the mean time. Prayers up to the kiddo at 3rd. Classless though… I really doubt the kid meant it.
-
I really doubt the runner was trying to really hurt him. He was full speed 3rd baseman probably came out of his right side making it hard to see him running for ball. Just a freak play.
-
Agree, the main takeaway here is more proof that Comey is a partisan hack that was unfit for the job.

Anyone care to PM me and tell me what happened? thanks
-
If I'm being honest, I think it's trivial at best. To me, the term to "86" something or someone means simply to get rid of or replace it - not necessarily through death or violence. I can't stand Comey, but this is a ridiculous non-event that shouldn't be wasting valuable time or resources. Move on, nothing to see here...

Excuse my ignorance, but were there any parts of the beach that weren't a part of the Jeep weekend and weren't shut down? I'll hold my narrative 'til I know the answer... @thetragichippy @bullets13 @baddog -

I don't see how when many of the businesses close now, and others are damaged. Not to mention the cost of cleaning and fixing the beach every year. I'm not really sure what the legality is, but sometimes an "over the top" response is necessary to fix an over the top problem. I'm confident from seeing local residents on facebook that very few people in Galveston county are particularly upset by the drop in traffic OR the temporary closures/delays.
