It is another layer of security..... Democrats, some on this forum, claimed in 2020 that walls/fences didn't work. The Biden administration claimed that as they put a fence around the white house. You could use that claim that locks don't work.....People put metal front doors on their home and feel secure, while they have 37 windows on their homes that could be broken into in a matter of seconds. Layers of security will help prevent fraud......but as we get smarter, so do the crooks..... Apparently the only ones that don't get smart are women and poor folks who can't figure out how to change their names....
-
But everyone has a brain right? That would include all demographics, right? I have faith that anyone 18 or older can figure out how to obtain what they need to vote. Funny story - My son at 18 figured out how to obtain a drivers license claiming he was 22 from China that actually scanned.....What he didn't count on is me illegally opening his mail.....lol The funny part, it was not really to use to drink, but to go to a casino......

Of course it doesn't stop a fake birth certificate. It only stops the legal honest people in my opinion.

Illegal immigrants from Africa, India and China are voting in US elections — here’s how they’re doing it Maybe a birth certificate isn't the worst idea?

Yup, just big stupid dummy >> Trump nominated Kent to lead the NCTC in February 2025, saying he will “help us keep America safe by eradicating all terrorism, from the jihadists around the World, to the cartels in our backyard.” Kent has echoed Trump’s false claim that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and suggested that the FBI was involved in planning and directing the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

That’s about 4 blocks from where I grew up. Sad.

13 million... State? Don't you mean born in another country? Lmao. Sorry, I could not resist.

Everyone’s not from Jefferson County. Around 13,000,000 of us Texans were born in another state. [Hidden Content]

Coaching matters. A lot! But having really good players matters more. It's been proven over and over again.

On that note, I'm looking for a Crown Vic - old 90's police interceptor style if anyone has one hanging around.
-
And how you would like to be an election worker when some grumpy old white dude who had to leave his maga hat in the Crown Vic finds out that he can’t vote because he didn’t re-register, and has to come up with a birth certificate or more to be registered for the next go-round?

4D chess master plan, just give it 2 more weeks! “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war,” Kent said in a letter addressed to President Donald Trump, that was posted on Kent’s personal X account. Kent, a promoter of far-right conspiracy theories whom the Senate narrowly confirmed for the director role last July, accused the president of being deceived by Israel into supporting the war. “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby,” Kent wrote in his letter.

One of too many examples to give. There's only one person here that believes it's only about coaching.. and that "elite" coaches can win a state championship no matter where they are.

I don't have a problem having to show a common ID and proving that I'm eligible to vote. I think that is a must. But this is getting a bit ludicrous. What does having to show a passport or birth certificate accomplish? Does anyone here think it solidifies a person is who they say they are? Do we really believe that these forms of ID (especially birth certificates) are not easily forged or falsified? I don't think this SAVE Act is intentional voter suppression, although I think it could have that effect. I think it's more like the political right saying, "Hey look what we did! They stole the election, and we are going to fix it!" It's a dollar store band-aid at best. And the Left cries "VOTER SUPPRESSION!". But if they hadn't tried to open the borders to illegals in order to garner more votes, if they hadn't been caught with their hand in the cookie jar on numerous occasions and if they would agree to simple voter ID (not the SAVE Act), then this whole SAVE Act thing would never have been an issue. Asking for proof of identification at the ballot box, a precaution deemed necessary when buying alcohol or boarding an airplane and many other common instances, hardly seems inappropriate. Nor does it seem outlandish for states to routinely inspect their voter rolls to detect and purge inaccurate and out-of-date registrations, a requirement under the National Voter Registration Act. But, for me, the SAVE Act is unnecessary. It really doesn't accomplish what we want to believe it will.

What is he even talking about? Sounds like she’s been at the bar too long.

I can accept voter ID. Citizenship proof at registration is unAmerican.

Whether or not I’ll convince you makes you no less wrong.

I’ll just put this here. Very interesting….
