West Orange-Stark vs Carthage - State Final
wo-s#1 replied to monknuk68's topic in High School Football
Y’all can both it to bed before the game even starts..no matter the outcome he’s already surpassed expectations and that means he’s not going anywhere so no point in discussing it.. -
Yes. That’s what I use. Big screen Roku TV, 32”TCL with Roku system, & Roku 4K stick on cheap Insignia 32” all work fine. You just have to check your specific TV to see which remote buttons to use for FF, etc. as mine are all different. Some, it’s just the right selector button, others it’s holding down the FF button, another one it’s holding down the play/pause button. Mine takes a few seconds of holding down the button to see the progress bar. On all my TV’s it will show up at the bottom when you’re trying to FF or Reverse. But, it’s not on all the time.

I agree. SP is too lazy on defense. Also, no real structure on offense. Particularly when they get down. It's mostly one on one trying to shoot three's. Big Sandy will give them problems in district but SP should win it. As for playoffs, they will go DI. Being that they are in Region IV, hard to tell how they will fare. They are fortunate that they are in IV and not III with San Augustine. Port Aransas and Mumford will be strong out IV.

Unfortunately...I think this one will get out of hand. Carthage is absolutely loaded and their defense matches up well with the WOS offensive attack IMO. Time will tell...but give me the Bulldogs by 21+ -

Mustang Nation Will there be a community pep rally? I'm hoping WOS will stream it, I would like it very much to be a part of it all the way from Spring. Since I have a relative who is a coach at WOS. They could care less what people who are not in our community says. Those who do care will most likely leave it is a choice that they will make one way or another (imo). -

That is my interest as well. WOS fans have identified as some of the more “out of touch” fans around the state. I enjoy illustrating their shifting and changing lanes. I would be hard pressed to find a coaching staff as high grade as WOS who has endured more complete nonsense from the fan base. -

Definitely. And for the record: Kilgore, PG, and Brock are quite a better than anyone on the WOS schedule. No offense, just facts. -

There's no question that anything is possible.. and there's a reason the game is played. The team with lesser talent wins from time to time. I wouldn't say all the time.. but enough that people know that it's never a good idea to count someone out. But... if I were a betting man, I'd say that I believe Carthage takes it convincingly. Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for WOS (if for no other reason than to ask the WOS faithful if they still want to fire the coach).. but I think the Bulldogs will just be too much. I hope I'm wrong. -

This I know. They also had Brock ranked above Carthage. And the DCTF Computer AI algorithm that everyone loves had them 3 pts better. Point is they play on the field for a reason. Nobody laying down and taking it from Carthage this week. It will be game. -
Has anyone tried this with Roku?

Who is “MP”? Maxpreps? They are clueless and run off their computer algorithms. -
3 & 11 are both real good shifty guards for SP, and their post 13 is very solid, he can step out and shoot it too. They just seem to loaf some on D once they get down some, and they dont seem to have any structure to their offense other than to try to go one on one to take shots. They should be really good in 2A though. they have the pieces, they just need to know how to put it all together.

I believe Orangefield's weak pool games and then our matchup with Warren had some of our boys not ready for the rematch against Nederland. We came out flat as a team and watched a duel between Rossette and Scales at first, but then Nederland started getting help from their shooters. Once some of our boys woke up and realized the speed at which they'd have to play to win, the whole was just too deep. Great comeback, but not enough to get the W. Scales had 23 and I'm sure Rossette had close to the same. Great matchup again and we are really glad Dallas is ok and feeling better from the ankle sprain. Spoke with both him and Coach English after the game and there was nothing but respect and well wishes from both sides, exactly the way great competition should be.
