The trade deadline brought a few new faces to the RANGERS. 1. Starting pitcher Merrill Kelly (3.22 ERA in 22 starts) came from the diamondbacks for 3 minor league pitchers. 2. Right handed reliever Phil Maton (2.35 ERA in 40 appearances) from the cardinals for 2 minor league pitchers and international signing bonus money. 3. Left handed reliever Danny Coulombe (1.16 ERA in 31 innings) from the twins for minor league pitcher.

Looking at the rosters, I see both LaPorte and Sterling have made some positive gains in their recruiting of the Lee players this off season. I wonder if that all occurred before or after Finn left.

If we can start hitting on a consistant basis, we can make up for some of the off pitching. Also I am fine with everything as long as it doesn't affect Dubon.
