  2. Whew! Those Porter boys came to play, but in the end, Angleton woke up from their stupor an took care of business. I think the 1st 3 games were so easy that the Cats may have thought no one could challenge them. Porter had the ball for almost the entire 1st quarter. Porter's QB and RB were everything I had seen on video. They do have some talent. Angleton though only ahead 7-3 at the half, set the tone for the second half by returning the kickoff for a touchdown and everything went their way from then on. I would have liked to have heard Coach Brittain's half time speech. It worked.
  3. Any winning coach that does not agree should be brought up in front of the DEC.
  4. You can catch him next year at University of St.Thomas is Houston, they are really good d3 program ….
  5. Cougars opened some eyes with their performance against EC. Wouldn’t be surprised if they prove the prognosticators wrong and fill that 4th playoff spot.
  6. so close. cougars are improving every week, these guys will be a force in the next few years. have a bye week and then a tall task again with Hardin. they are where we will be in 2 years, loaded with 3 and 4 year starters.
  7. No excuse. Silsbee loss. On to the next game lol. Those are facts that they were missing about 6 starters mostly on defense and a starting RB.

  11. Newton will be Newton regardless and other teams know it and have known it for decades now. Not a Newton apologist but they line up and tell their opponents to stop us. When you have dogs like they typically have, who cares what plays they're running.. You're not going to "Out Dog" them!
  12. Yea it's definitely poor coaching if you teach defensive players to be robots. Defense is reactive and instinctive.
  13. Bulldogs Steamroll Friendswood with 57–21 Victory Behind Dominant Ground Game The La Porte Bulldogs continued their impressive season Friday night with a statement win, overpowering the Friendswood Mustangs 57–21 in a game defined by relentless rushing and explosive plays. La Porte's offense was unstoppable, piling up over 500 rushing yards as the Bulldogs controlled the tempo from start to finish. Leading the charge was senior running back Sean Simon, who delivered a great performance with over 260 yards and five touchdowns. Simon's mix of power and speed kept the Friendswood defense on its heels all night. Complementing Simon's monster game was Ashton Ruffin, who slashed through the Mustang defense for 140 yards and a touchdown, giving La Porte a devastating one-two punch in the backfield. The Bulldogs also showed flashes of balance, with quarterback connections adding to the scoring. Ryker Reynolds hauled in a touchdown pass, while Joziah Rocha punched in another score to keep Friendswood guessing. The defense matched the offense's intensity, forcing key turnovers to preserve momentum. Jim Gonzalez came up with a crucial interception, halting a promising Friendswood drive and setting up another Bulldogs score. With the victory, La Porte showcased why they are one of the most dangerous teams in the district—a squad with a bruising run game, opportunistic defense, and the ability to dominate from the opening kickoff. Bulldog Nation will be ready as La Porte looks to carry this momentum into next week's matchup.
  14. I agree. Lufkin doesn't throw the ball vertical and rely too much on Waters, bubble screens, tunnel screens. Lufkin plays like they are scared of their QB. Lufkin defense is pretty good.
  15. LOL, I thought the ORANGEMEN were world beaters this year!
  16. I assume Garrett didn’t play if they only won by 3. He’s likely still recovering. Is there a 6’8” transfer from Vidor on the team?
  17. La Porte has a lot more depth than I realized this year, and they're bringing up some talented freshman & sophomores. Had some go out with what appeared to be minor issues. Some appeared to be pulled for precautionary moves because they wanted to come back in and coaches wouldn't allow. Smart move if you want an extended season like they're hoping. Friendswood is big again. Good team. They had some drops that could have made a difference in the momentum of the game. But, LP still had their number. They look like a good lock for 3 seed IMHO right now. The Friendswood game against Crosby next week should be the decider. LP looks to be at least 2 deep (quality players) at every position except PK. If they can find a way to incorporate the #3 & 4 RB's into the short passing game like Sandolph last year, this O could be even more potent. Right now, Smith is stretching the field, and 14 (Godbolt-Carr) is more of the wing back/intermediate receiver, and doing well. The off week & retooling worked like a charm. This is the team fans expected. IMO, the tough predistrict set them up for success again, and they learned a lot about themselves and who/what needed to be done for the real season and beyond.
  18. Were you the main star in the smurfs movie? Or maybe it was the trolls series...Yep, definitely the trolls. I believe there's a scene in the movie that has your character acting so passive aggressive that it makes the movie goers sick to their stomach. Would you be kind enough to give the movie goers some pepto bismol or tums?
  19. lol I can only imagine how hard it is to look at. It's absolutely gut wrenching to listen to on the live stream. Maybe the defensive coordinator needs to throw all assignments out the window, tell them to line up, see kid with ball and tackle kid with ball. Stop overthinking it!
  20. Hate to see kids do what they were taught. That is a sign of poor coaching. Hopefully WV will get a new coach before it is too late. If only the WV coach would consult with the folks in the stands who watch pewee football, they would know what to do.
  21. Just saw this one. Wild.
  22. Ok. Share your passing statistics. I was at the Jefferson game and there were zero completions.
  23. I'll talk more about this game later on this afternoon. But I'll say this in short: good luck to BU going forward.
  24. Fact is 2025 BU football has had a couple of glaring weaknesses and PNG was the first to expose it. Here we are 3 weeks later and it haven’t been addressed. PA did what they were supposed to do and run us off the field. At this point, halfway through the season, I’m convinced they won’t be addressed. This was utterly embarrassing and many seem to be ok with this. It’s so much I can say, but I’ll refrain. All I know is this bye week couldn’t come soon enough…
  25. I’m glad it’s at BH, but PAM is on fire right now. I usually expect them to blow a game by now. You know like a head scratcher, but they have been solid. BH would have to be perfect.
