Barbers Hill had a former png guy as their band director a few years back (maybe still does) and their band learned Cherokee for trolling purposes. I don’t know if they ever used it against us. I heard that from a Barbers Hill band kid.

I wasn't around here for that, but I remember the Vidor band trying to play it once, a little off key.

That is the problem, two different sized steps going up, I've seen several fall over the years, one a 80 year old fell there about 5 years ago about row 30, hit his head on the seats and concrete, EMT had to carry him down and he passed away the next day. Saw a coach from Oak Ridge slip and fall out of the booth at halftime about 10 years ago and almost land on some fans below him, I kept him from rolling a couple more rows. Stuff just like that, it's amazing it hasn't happened more often..

What i find funny is all this Cutting everyone claims they want but yet dont dare speak to what presidents use unnecessary money for.. just dumb stuff Are we for Cutting what we dont agree with or Cutting ALL?

Owner operator, with multiple trucks. We haul different liquids.. sludge, grease. sewer for treatment plants etc.. everyone in our field is feeling it. Were mostly all close for the most part and conversate on a regular and this is the worst its been in at least 6 or 7 years.. fuel was $4+ a gallon and we were booming and overloaded with work.. my personal finances were better in bidens term then now. Maybe it'll change.. waiting to see Got a $486 electric bill last month (wasnt even hot for ac to constantly run or anything) highest its been since I bought this place September 2023... normally runs around $upper $200s low $300s.. guess it was price gouging from wood cty electric

I think I'm a conservative independent. Sick of both parties. I'm all in favor of reducing spending and that includes trimming social programs. However, I'm not in favor of an ax wielding approach with no real plan or consideration to cause and effect. Cutting billions here, then turning around and giving billions there (other countries) accomplishes nothing financially. Anyone that wants to brag on our economy has their head in the sand. TDS is a real thing, and it is running rampant on both sides of the isle.

Those steps getting into press box are an accident waiting to happen. I am pretty sure some folks have fallen over the years.

I agree that the Lufkin press box has been inadequate a long time and very NON ADA compliant. We finally have some leadership that realizes that and are about to have a vote in May, 2026 to solve that problem. I have had seats right there at the top close to one of the press box doors for the past 32 years, have probably watched AggiesWeAre lug that equipment up those steps. Have assisted many to get into or get out of the press box who were unable access on their own. It's not a safe entry, I've said for two decades it's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Perhaps the Democrats should allow and not fight....maybe join in and embrace DOGE and cutting unnecessary expenses...... The problem is Democrats will scream he is taking away all the social programs.....fact is, we probably need to take away some. I think we need to tighten up the qualifications for all social programs. I think we need to re-look at unemployment benefits. When I was 19 or 20, I went and applied for unemployment and I didn't have to accept a lower paying wage than what I was making.....I ended up getting a job because the line was too long back then to wait....(that is how lazy I was back then lol) - Now days it is done by computer, so you don't even have to get off the couch......That needs to change! Ive seen maybe 3 on here that are somewhat conservative or libertarian whichever they prefer. sometimes @thetragichippy..... @mat @SmashMouth & @OlDawg! the rest are in lockstep with whatever the right does... fiscally conservative 😂 Me personally i was doing better the last 4 years then now.. and yeah we know how to run a business, everyone in our field is all of a sudden suffering thanks CONALD
