DCT replied to HuntersLaptop2028's topic in Political Forum
Phone call that ended everything. [Hidden Content] Will they release the remaining 3 million files? Probably not. -
Yep, they just keep ending up being right. I am not shocked at all. 81 million votes đ¤Łđ

Iâm an Onalaska guy at heart ( give us football), but as a New Caney ISD hire I like them conducting searches and bringing in guys with bigger resumes.

It goes way further back than that. When you go back to the Nixon years, you had Rs who told Nixon âweâre going to vote to convict⌠you need to resign.â Somewhere in the 90s is when things really started to get more adversarial, and we no longer hold âourâ guys accountable. From the Whitewater investigation that turned into Clinton being impeached for lying about honking his intern⌠itâs just been getting worse. The âLil Bushieâ cartoon when we were in the gulf war. The racist attacks on Obama, combined with his opinions/views/policies on race that only widened racial gaps. I can remember being astounded in â15 when Trump came out in the first debate hammering everybody on stage-it was comedy gold and weâd never seen anything like it on the presidential stage before. But now that angry, attack, lie, defame strategy is found at every level of government. Is he to blame? Nah, he was just the first to one to do it⌠weâre to blame for accepting it. And hereâs the thing⌠I correct my own kids, not anybody elseâs. Iâm a conservative, Christian, Texan, American. I used to say Republican, but when I see what republicans support today, I canât claim to be one of them. And MAGA is a horrible political movement that has hijacked, then destroyed the Republican/conservative movement for decades to come, Iâm afraid. Ted Cruz used to be considered the most raging conservative prick. Even Republicans had a hard time dealing with him because he was too rigidly right wing. Today heâs âLyinâ Ted,â a no-good RINO who needs to be taken out by âWe The People.â And itâs not because his views have changed, he just wasnât MAGA enough for MAGA. Same with John Cornyn. At once thought to be the third most conservative member of the US Senate, heâs now facing a defeat by âOur Generalâ Ken Paxton, the corrupt Texas Attorney General who is loved for being one of Trumpâs biggest attack dogs, in spite of everything heâs done. Greg Abbott? MAGA hates him now. With MAGA, it doesnât matter what crimes you commit, as long as youâre loyal to Trump, youâll have the support of the voters. But youâre right⌠Iâm definitely more vocal when I see âmyâ side screwing up-because I expect my side to do right, regardless of what the other side is doing. Weak men, when faced with their own shortcomings, will say âyeah, but look what everybody else was doing, too.â

Air marshalls, mistaken for ICE agents, chased out of LA restaurant
DCT replied to bullets13's topic in Political Forum
[Hidden Content] iCE agents violate the 4th Amendment. it talks about training ICE agents receive. Policy was definitely not followed. If true, this directive came from the very top. Noem may have been following strict orders. - Today

Actually, Somali pirates. They got confused. They're used to pirating on the high seas as their top income producing job, and thought 'Minnesota--The Land of 10,000 Lakes' meant they would feel right at home, and could branch out into fresh water.

What exactly are the grounds for this lawsuit?

I agree with some of what you said. However, you didnât mention how we got here. It was the result of the democratic four year crap show. Both sides have biased focus and views but your focus is on the maga side.

This is more of what I was expecting from the first matchup

Biden admin had 4 years and nothingâŚâŚ This was a post from shipweckedcrew that really sums up my feeling and the why releasing these files was wrong. âThe Bill Gates disclosure is exactly why those with access to the Epstein files cautioned against their release. This is the kind of personal private information that gets gathered up in a federal criminal investigation and sits in files because it is irrelevant. But now this personal private information is all over the internet and social media, and there isn't a single supported claim of criminal conduct by Gates. I have only contempt for all of you who demanded this stuff when those of us who have an idea about the kind of embarrassing info having nothing to do with Epstein that is going to be in them. I'm not a Bill Gates fan, but you might as well just get his entire medical history and post it online.â

Oh, I suspect that there are some truths about Trump down in there somewhere. But theyâre buried in so many lies that theyâll never be proven. I just feel bad for the federal agents that have to comb through the millions of documents trying to decide whatâs legit and whatâs not, while recognizing the very definition of legit changes every four years and your career depends on how the future boss might view your responses in regards to your current bossesâ directives.

Iâll use this topic and forum as a prime example of whatâs wrong with America today, and why the American experiment is approaching its end much, much sooner than Iâd thought. Both sides are so entrenched that even good men ignore wrong actions if itâs their side thatâs doing it. Good, fiscal conservative men canât even find their voice to admit that âyeah, suing the USA is dumb and in no way what he should be doing.â You have guys like TVC who stood in front of classes of future LEOs who today canât find the voice to say âyeah, that ICE agent shouldnât have shoved that female protestor three yards into the snowâ when asked multiple times for an opinion. You have God-fearing Christians that turn their back on God and say âoh, itâs just locker room talkâ or âbut look at the choice we had,â when in fact they just have no moral compass of their own. Weâve reached a point where our debt is literally destroying the value of the dollars that weâre all hoping to have when we reach retirement age, and all âtheyâ want is handouts and all âweâ want is more tax cuts that we canât afford. We all want it ALL, and our main concern is making sure that weâre not the one who pays for it. âI want no taxes on overtime, no taxes on tips, no taxes on the elderly, tax cuts for everybody else, plus a few trillion to buy Greenland⌠and $10 billion dollars for Donald Trump, too, while youâre at it.â

I believe Greg about covered it all. Amen

Yeah⌠just finished while reading through the Epstein files released yesterday, and as a reasonable person, a lot of it seems fictional, at least in regards to Trump. Donât get me wrong⌠I believe Trump when he confessed to sexually assaulting women. I believe the jury was right when they found him responsible for the assault on E Jean Carroll. But a bunch of unfounded, unproven, and quite frankly unbelievable accusations donât do anything but give Trumps adversaries something to point at as proof of guilt when itâs not. Typically when the state has somebody on multiple charges, and they really, really want a conviction, they hang onto a few hole cards. They wonât try the person for everything, so if it goes wrong and they miss, they have more arrows in the quiver if they can use for another try at a conviction. The problem with the pursuit of Trump is that it seems like prosecutors take the opposite approach⌠they throw everything that they can at him⌠the legitimate charges and the ones they know are bogus, just hoping they juries will be like âwell, when thereâs this much smoke, there has to be fireâ and convict him of something.
