Walmart isn't lowering prices out of the goodness of their hearts. They're losing market share to Kroger again as the new Kroger CEO knows WallyWorld inside and out. He's the one who built them into what they are now. The new grocery wars should help us all as they battle it out. [Hidden Content] Incidentally, I bought Kroger stock almost 10 years ago at a little less than $20. It's done nothing but go up since. Nice, safe play in a defensive stock that's tripled in value during that time. I don't think people know how big Kroger really is, and what stores are actually Kroger. IMHO, Kroger branded items are some of the best around. I like many of them better than the name brands. Plus, they own their own dairy farms that supply their dairy products direct. Add in their gas rewards program (or you can choose grocery coupons), and you can do pretty well. One of the secrets--if you're going to frequent a place that has gift cards that are sold at Kroger--is to buy them with no upcharge, and get Kroger's 4x fuel points for buying what you're going to use anyway, and save up to $1/gal on your gas. Quick way to load up on fuel points quick.

So all of sudden Walmart going to take a loss on profit because Trump said so? This whole price game is hilarious and what’s funnier is the people that fall for it. I remember when I sold furniture for a living many years ago. There was a certain furniture store in Beaumont that would run a buy one get one free recliner sale. The night they closed before the sale they would literally markup all their recliners and then the next day they would run the buy one recliner get one free sale. It always amazed me how many people would fall for that stunt. There is probably at least two people on this forum that went in and bought a recliner to get one free. Lol I said all that to say let’s run up inflation and then when a few crumbs are thrown our way let’s celebrate it. Lol I am still waiting on my tariff tax check to compensate what we’ve paid out since tariffs started. Oh let’s not forget the DOGE checks or did that go towards the Iran War? Lol

That’s good news. I don’t know how the government can tell a private company to lower prices but ok. Did you know there is 278 Walmart Supercenters and 68 Sam’s in China? I wonder if they allow them to sell American made products in their stores. I guess I’ll answer my own question. Yes China allows 5% of American made products to be sold in China Walmarts and Sam’s. A big ole 5%! Such a great American Company. Smh 60% of products in America Walmarts come from China. Sounds fair. Lol

Who’s your sleeper for next year? The team that could take the next step? I’m thinking Zavalla. Got some talent coming back and Leland Hand will be doing the head coaching…. Also Diboll should take a step forward. Lots of young talent in the near future.

Probably what we get for messing with the lineup all the time. I though Allen was playing SS quite well. In prior games.

The two errors ended up being the difference in the game.

I can't explain everything that happenrd in this 12-11 slugfest loss to Nats. But what a game.

The new OC will definitely will definitely bring the offense back from the Stone Age. Was kind of surprised he would leave Colorado State and come to high school but that's the pull of Coach Williams already paying dues. At the end of the day math just doesn't math though. With our demographics we just don't have the enrollment to play with the top 4 teams in the district and probably not with Kingwood either. Have to remember Kingwood backing into the playoffs a couple years ago with a shocker over CE King and making the regional final. SEC commit in the middle of the defense and a 5* A&M commit at left tackle anchoring a very good offensive line and they have 0 shot. That's life outside the top 4 in this district. North Shore is ranked #2 but I think Summer Creek might be the best team in the district and by far the team set up for the most success over the next decade? They couldn't deal with the CE King run game last year but I'm not sure they don't win a state title if they had went D1. That being said it's almost crazy to think CE King will still field the best collection of skill players in the district and IMO opinion the favorite out of all those teams to win a state title now that Desoto has dropped to 5A. Atascocita is the wild card, for the first time in over a decade they'll get to play D2 and their new coach already has experience coaching high level kids being that he was on staff for Desoto's 2022 state title. Not that the record would reflect it in the next four or five years but I think Crosby is going to get very good relatively fast playing in this district similar to CE King's rise simply because of what it's going to take every Friday night just to be "competitive". -
