Deweyville lost to Corrigan last year 49-0. This year we lost by 3 points. This will be a close game.
[/quote]Well, New Waverly beat Corrigan by 21.  However, New Waverly could be overconfident based upon last year's result.  New Waverly has a stout running game and a very solid defense.  They also appear to be 100% healthy.  I think Deweyville has a shot at this but they absolutely will have to bring the A game.

We beat CC every where but the score board and out rushed them by 147 yards and had three turn overs, Babin will be the differance, and cc had injuries and a freshman QB when they played NW and were full force when we played them.
We WILL BEAT NW!

Even if we lose to New Waverly tonight, if we beat Groveton then we will go into playoffs as the 3rd team. But if we beat New Waverly by a certain amount of points, and Groveton, then we can still be district champions.

That's correct Eazy, no matter tonights outcome the Pirates still have to beat Groveton next week.

The Pirates have gotten to this place by taking it one game at a time and respecting all opponents.  Pirates haven't won anything yet, tonights game is a chance to validate all their hard work and take another step to a goal of making the playoffs, something that doesn't happen very often in Deweyville. Groveton is a very talented team and are in the run for a playoff berth also just like the Pirates, so they will be fired up and hungry also. That makes for a very tough and physical game next week.

There's gonna be some sad Bulldog fans about 10pm tonight. Pirates and that big offensive line are gonna crush New Waverly. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a dog in the fight and not a fan of either team, I just feel that Deweyville is far superior as long as they play to their potential. Could be over by halftime in my opinion.
