Not sure about Snooks..... there is a small Texas town called Snook....used to be ( may still be ) a basketball powerhouse.
Not sure where it's at....near College Station, I believe.

Sure is...  Snook's about 25 mins from Brenham.  Pretty darn good steakhouse there, called Sodalaks.  They even have their signature dish, chicken fried bacon!  Lol

I've eaten there myself, BrenhamFan. Great steakhouse. Pretty little central Texas town. I have to hand it to you, ya'll live in beautiful part of the state. My wife and I are moving there when I retire. Mind if I become a Cubs fan and watch some of the games when we move??

Snook is probably best known for Chilifest, which is one of the largest outdoor music festivals in the US.  40-50 thousand people head to a town of 500 each year and it's great time.

You let me know when that is, and I'll let you buy one of my reserved season tickets if you want.  Most of the the time you have to be a previous buyer, but I have had 2 tickets for a while.  It will be different having somebody else at the games, that's just as passionate.

PhatMack, that ain't no lie.  Chilifest is a good time!

Done deal, BrenhamFan. We are looking for land right...somewhere around the CS area. Chilifest rocks!!! And, I am about as diehard of a fan as they come. However, I've bled black and gold for over 50 years now.

There's a lot of beautiful land between here and CS.  Lots of creeks and rivers, deer and wildlife, and even Lake Somerville.  It's kind of pricey, but I think it's worth it.
