The Vidor Pirates want to thank all of you people in Lumberton that wanted Coach Credeur to leave.  We just got a great coach a great man and a great leader.  Oh and by the way....we just got a lot better. Thanks again! [/q uote]That's a good hire for you guys coach. Congrats.
 2.
Just wondering. I played football back in the late 70's with a Craig Stump in Big Spring.  I think his dad was a coach also. Does anyone know if this might be the same person?
Craig Stump started at QB for Thomas Jefferson (I believe in 1981) and if memory serves won the 5A title against Permian. Went on to start at A&M a season or two. Knows the game and a very fine coach. I talked to a guy from Atascosita a couple months ago that had a son playing. They feel really good about where their program is headed.
 3. ALL THE ABOVE! Best wishes to GT the next two weeks. You have the potential to take it all. I truly think you will. Congrats!
 4. Raidergirl you are a sweet young woman and a class act. You haven't made a negative post about anyone all year long that I remember. I think all on this site would agree that you are the epitome of sportsmanship. If I would have had a daughter my wish would be that she would be like you. Thanks for all your support! Your mom should be very proud!

 6. GO STANGS. Unleash the Beast. Us Ned folks are totally with you and that great Chain Gang Defense. Make us proud! You guys are on a roll and a mission. WO-S 21-13
 7.

A bit off topic but didn't see a need to start another thread. Who is #28 for Ned? He is an athlete. Very impressive.
#28 is also #52.....when he plays tight end he wears 28....on either line he wears 52....his name is Jorge Del Fierro.
Thanks dawgnut.

 9.
Nederland got lucky.. They'll lose next round.
The harder you work the "luckier" you get. Ned dominated that game for three quarters. If ignorance is terminal you better pick out a plot.
 10. His dad said after the game last night he tweaked his bruised shoulder and should be good to go next week. He'll be there and effective as usual.
 11. From the broadcast it sounded like Angleton made the mistake of playing a cover three dime defensive package with a three man rush (at least early in the game). SC tried the same stuff with similar results. We must pressure that QB. If he has time to stand in the pocket he'll eat a defense up. When pressured he seems to make at least some bad decisions. Neds front four can go a long way toward stopping that passing game and containing the run. I'm betting our defense will show GT another type of football. I really believe another effort like that against Dawson will get us to the next round.
 12.
What yall don't know is that after the phantom field goal coach pops had to "take a break" and realized his johns were on frontwards!!! He quickly made the switch and the rest is well.....history.
My mother-in-law is a genious. She took two pairs of my long drawers, split them down the middle, and sewed the two opposite halves together kinda like those half Ned, half PNG shirts like I've seen in the MCM games. Half frontwards and half backwards. Now I have two pairs of hybrid drawers. I am now good for any game situation. Anytime, anywhere.  ;) 8) That game was something special. I bet after the game some of those Dawson players jocks had been knocked backwards. Great Game Dogs!!! Another huge challenge next week. Stay focused.
 13. Pulling for Angleton. This game will be close. Cats win late.
 14. The Warden washes em pretty regular. I retire them after football season every year and make burnt offerings of them via the bbq pit. She doesn't know about that part. ;D
 15. Thanks Bronx Rox. My wife aka The Warden hasn't been nearly as helpful :). She's a edumacator at PN-G. A Ned alum and ex Ned cheerleader. Something is up. She could be more supportive in my endeavors. I suspect she's been turned. She gets home from work before me and I noticed that thousand yard stare and heard her humming Cherokee one day while she was chopping up a gumbo chicken with a hatchet looking thing. I found a chicken foot out back!! Hoodoo maybe? It's grievous. I suspect this may have something to do with my long drawers being backwards. I will adhere to wearing my long drawers as poll results dictate. I'm studying up on waterboarding. It may not be too late.
 16. I know you're not supposed to air your laundry on a public forum, but I have a problem I need to address. I need as many opinions as can be had on some recently disturbing pre-game developments for which I have been carrying this burden. Being a little superstitious about football it has always been my policy to do a few things for good luck. At the beginning of the playoffs I always wear long drawers under my britches for every playoff game. It means a lot to me. As usual before the Ned/Dayton game I donned my long drawers under my sweat pants. We all know Ned won that game and I had a really good time. When I got home after the game the weather had warmed and I decided to take my long drawers off. When I removed my sweats I was kinda surprised to see that in my excitement getting ready for the game my long drawers had somehow been put on backwards. I shrugged it off as part of getting older and giggled a little. Never thought about it again. Last Friday I was really excited getting ready to go see the Ned/Connally game. I put on my clothes (long drawers included) and took off to Houston. Ned won and I really enjoyed myself again. After we got home and I started getting ready for bed and removed a couple layers of clothes I was stunned. My long drawers were on backwards again! All this was totally unintentional. Now I have a not-so-large problem. WHAT DO I DO? Should I put my long drawers on backwards for the Ned/Dawson game or what? It seems to have worked so far, and I've always believed if it isn't broke don't fix it. At the same time what if we have an accident and go to a hospital? Would the people at the hospital judge me for having my long drawers on backwards? They might ask; Has this man been downtown-Montrose maybe? Should I wear a hazmat suit to work on him? You can understand I'm pretty upset about all this. I need opinions fast. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
 17. This matchup reminds me of '01 in a way. Ned went into the quarterfinals against Friendswood. Ned 9-3 vs Friendswood 12-0, who had dominated the greater Houston area. Fw had lots of offense that year, Ned had enough offense and a good defense (but imo not as good as this year). The football gurus had us as a huge underdog in that game with little chance to win. That good defense slowed Fw way down and the same type offense we have now scored 25 pts. for a 25-14 (I think) win. Really good defense vs high octane offense will win most of the time. I really like our odds.
 18.
Quck Question, somebody help me out....who does Summer Creek play this week?  I'm ready to go see the "greatest show on turf" again
We'd have to see their basketball schedule to answer that ;D
 19.
I'm patient and will check in on Angleton next week. They're about to get robbed.
LaMarque won several State Titles in 4A with a shade over 1100 kids. They would have smoked SC and probably most 5A schools. Give respect when it's deserved. Your team got punked by a better team. Deal with it and quit finding excuses for losing to a better team.
 20.
where is baby smokin
If you are Miss Shaniqua would you please pm me your phone no.? You're hot!
 21. I can't understand how sc got all those lose my composure and throw a fit personal fouls. I know it's a tough concept but try to act like you've been there before. (even if you haven't)
