It was a tough way to end the season, but I think ALL of us 20-4A folks and SETX in general are very proud of your accomplishments this year. especially considering the tragic event that shook your team and community.  God bless the Pirates and the way you represented our district.  Keep yours heads held up high...

Tough loss Vidor but nothing to hang your heads about. First time I seen you play and you have a very discpline team and well Coach. You guys have a huge heart and never gave up. Angleton? You may have won but hope you get beat down next week bc very dirty team.

Very dirty?? The Vidor kickoff returner on Angleton's side kept jawing over at the Angleton players everytime he was back there, which was quite alot. Finally one the Angleton coaches had to stand there to make sure nothing was said back from the Angleton kids. I didn't come here to talk trash because I never do, but this game was just a typical Angleton game. Angleton coaches make great adjustments after the half time and you saw it again tonight. Angleton defense held the Vidor offense to 6 points in the second half and score 39 themselves. Great effort by the Pirates though and now hoping for a Dawson win tomarrow for an all Brazoria county regional final.

Have to give credit to them for this. They saw a weakness in our defense and exploited it in the 2nd half. Turnovers and special teams plays also killed us. Angleton is state ranked and undefeated for a reason. Hats off to the Pirates on a great season. Yall made SETX and the town of Vidor very proud. It was a fun delight to watch you play. Goodluck to Angleton and everyone in region III still playing! SOMEBODY PLEASE BEAT LAKE TRAVIS!!! ;D

I just responding to the dirty team talk. Angleton has never been a dirty team. They play hard and if you hit them in the mouth, they just hit back. There was only 2 PF called tonight, so I thought it was just a hard hitting game by both teams. If you want to say that Angleton is dirty because they just wipped Vidor's tail tonight, then I would think Vidor fans wouldn't have liked it if Vidor would have won and I came on here saying they were a dirty team. Hey, it was just kids going at it for 48 minutes and Angleton just made more plays to advance. I said that if it was a scoring fest that Angleton would win. But anyways great season by Vidor. You all have great fan support over there. :D

Congrats to Angleton!  They are a great team that played very well tonight.  We did not get the bounces tonight, but the bounces were not the difference.  Angleton was the better team.  Good Luck Next Week!

To the Pirate Players and Coaches:

Thank you so much for an Amazing Season.  It was one helluva ride!
