PolkHighLegend Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Chapel Hill was not the Chapel Hill of old. Every team that made the playoffs in 10-4A would have beat them. BC will beat Navasota as well and then it's over. Kilgore will beat them by 28+ That is not to discredit them in any way but Kilgore is just a different beast. TheMissingBand Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I distinctly remember a thread last week where it was stated that Lum might have a chance at a first round win, but they were the only team with a chance for a win. As somebody else mentioned, the “pros” had CH favored by 12 points. It was an upset in that we beat a team that everybody picked to beat us. Who cares about a #1 vs #4. Who cares that we’re supposed to be playing down a division? We won, so move on. I’m not sure which was a bigger upset… us beating chapel hill or the feelings of those NETX fans… they still seem pretty upset to me. Quote
TheMissingBand Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I’m really hoping the weather holds out and #10 for BC is ready to go. It should be a good one. Quote

I saw a bunch of people commenting on Navasota's tough schedule so I took a look. It honestly didn't look too tough to me. Tougher than BCs? Yes. Tough enough to say they are way more battle tested? Not in my opinion. Bridge City's first 3 games are pretty laughable for sure but they are a solid team. Like I said earlier I think all 4 teams from this district would have beaten Chapel Hill. Quote
BBtater984 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago BC rub a little extra on this week and win... we need y'all to play Kilgore. Quote

Bridge City matched up best with them (and was the best team in the district), and squeaked by them. They would've rolled LCM and beaten Huffman and Lumberton by a couple scores. That said, you are correct that they are not the usual Chapel Hill. But still would be easily the 2nd place team in 10-4A, if not the DC, as them playing BC down to the wire shows. Anyone that has seen that kid play knows he makes an easy 14 point difference in that game (BC won by 1 point). setxathlete14 1 Quote

That was good to move up and get away from WOS and Silsbee. But moving up, when it gets to the playoffs, may be their downfall. Quote

Chapel Hill has talent, they were just wildly inconsistent this season.... especially at the QB position. Quote

Bobcat101 Posted 5 minutes ago Report Posted 5 minutes ago No muff punt reception by CH, BC loses. Because I’m from Orangefield, 28-13 Navasota. Quote
