Your team last realignment had about 50 kids less than LCM . My  gosh yall are so small. This might be the first time in History.

I kind of agree.

Of the three that opted up, BC was the only one that I really didn't have a problem with doing it because their numbers are very close to DI numbers. Still are close.

HJ and Liberty is nowhere close.

Well before you decide to have last statement and close topics before they’re done I better get mine in. The fact they’re larger should encourage them stay and play the teams the UIL has set the numbers for, but we know why they want to move up. Not travel lol. We’ll see how the honesty of BC prevails to the UIL  on Feb 1 this coming year.

Oh don't get me wrong, I didn't think any of the three should have been allowed to opt up. There was no logical reasoning for it other than competition.

That other topic had been done with for quite some time. It had run its course particularly since the ruling by UIL had come out.

No need to discuss any longer.

Can anybody think of another team that opted up a division and then won the DC? That’s pretty special of you ask me.

Despite LCM’s treachery, we were one touchdown away from going undefeated in the District.

Let’s Go Big Red!

Congrats to them for winning district. But let’s not act like they opted up into some crazy district. Winning that 4aD2 district would have been way more impressive, but I guess the drives were too far.

Anyways, good luck to the kids, get after’em!

Yeah his statement was as comical and nieve as it gets. He clearly has no understanding outside of wins and losses lol

As much as I hate BC running from competition I’m the district they should be in, honestly, they would have a good chance to win that one too. Either way, the eeked out a 1 pt win against a team missing their best player and QB. Unfortunate for Huffman, losing that game means a trip to Kilgore and a murderous rd 1 game on the road.

hats off to James Nevil for stepping in and playing well last night. An amazing performance in a bad spot. Many will focus on the INT that sealed the game and the open RB in the flat that would’ve put them into FG position, and I’ll bet Nevil will focus on that too. But, if you’re reading this young man, you played your ass off and have nothing to hang your head about. Looking forward to watching you next year as a senior.

So youre saying you seen a team that was good enough to beat wos/silsbee/HF and Sheppard too? 🍿

Pretty sure LC-M is playing Kilgore.

Or did Kilgore not win district up there?

LC-M is the 4th seed.

Personally, I don't think BC beats WO-S or Silsbee. Maybe HF. Would beat Shepherd.

Huffman playing without Cook was a tough situation. He was the dude that made that offense go.

Yep Huffman is getting Lindale.

Nevil did a great job considering the circumstances. He was making his first career start playing for a DC with 1 week of preparation. He played good enough for Huffman to win, but ultimately special teams was Huffman's undoing.

If Cook plays it's probably a different story today. But he didn't, so you tip your hat to Bridge City, get ready for Lindale and see what happens.

I think they’d finish no worse than second had they hadn’t opted up to face the larger schools.

Jasper isn’t very good, I think BC d would have given HF fits. Silsbee tends to crack under pressure, and we’re long overdue to take one back from WOS.

No doubt… we’d have ruled that district, too.

I guess we’ll never know.

I’m kidding, of course. But I think we’d have made the playoff almost certainly, and had competitive games with the other playoff teams in the D2 district.

I don’t feel like looking back through the snapshot thread. Where are they thinking bc’s numbers will place them at realignment?

I read on Smoaky that the unofficial name of the rule that’s gonna eliminate the opt-up is “The BC Rule.”  They don’t want smaller teams like us bullying softer teams.

I don't feel like answering your question. lol

I don’t see anyone saying HJ and Liberty are running from competition?
I guess it’s only a talking point about the Cards because they’re winning the district. Nobody complaining about getting easy district wins from HJ and Lib. are they?
