Oh wow! Was expecting Tarkington to stay put and OF come up.

The number is almost certainly falling somewhere between 525 and 535 I would think. Would not be shocked if it hit 530 on the nose and Tarkington stayed up and Orangefield down.

I am no expert at all just cobbling information from several different guys who do this every year and mashing it together to form my opinion. I would say Tarkington/OF were 50/50 at snapshot day with reported numbers, I’d go Tarkington 60/40, OF 62/38 at this point.

Either way I’d expect we know tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

Yeah from seeing the snapshot numbers I figured Tarkington would be a bubble team for 4A. Would love to see them in 3A but we'll see.

I just kind of have a feeling that the cutoffs are going to go down enough to keep Tarkington 4A.  Call it a hunch.  I think Orangefield comes up as well.

Dave Campbell has you guys essentially back in the same football district as 2 years ago.

Interesting! Hopefully it falls that way.

Bridge City is just 4 off from being DI. Got no problem with them opting up.

Liberty on the other hand, has no reason to opt up with a 757 enrollment.

I hope BC does not opt up. We can still schedule OF and LCM for pre district. I think that’s the way it was last realignment.

I think it’s time for a different way to count the kids. The state knows exactly how many kids are in each school because they send “x” amount of dollars per kid, per day to the school districts. So, by knowing how much money is sent to the school districts you would know how many kids they have in attendance.
