Ā Ned is young and will take time to develop no doubt, but in the portion that was live it was evenly matched and WBs starters were in when Ā Ned scoredĀ ok. you was there.Ā It was 6 tds to nothing before NED scored.Ā That's not true?Ā Ā I'm lying? You don't think WB pulled back?Ā Ā It was 4 starters on the field when you scored.Ā Ā NED is trying to say we played even in this 30 snap window and disregarding the other 80 snaps,Ā I hope NED have a good season.Ā But come on guys.Ā Ya'll tripping. bullets13 and KF89 1 1 Quote

That's about as good as you're gonna get on here. Quote

Nobody questions the 6-1. Ā But that was total in a practice situation. Ā You know, players going in and out. Ā Also, 2nd and 3rd teams playing. Ā But in the live, game conditions it was 7-7 and evenly matched at that point. Ā Basically 1st against 1st. Ā One friend here said he was sitting next to PA coaches and they remarked Ned doesnāt look bad. Ā Quote

I get that it's "just a scrimmage", but really? when you get beat so bad one team sits starters during the live portion that's saying something. KF89, Mr. Buddy Garrity and CS. 3 Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted 2 hours ago Author Report Posted 2 hours ago In regards to Vidor/Nacogdoches/Jasper scrimmage, another very reliable source told me Jasper looked very undisciplined on both sides of the ball. Lot's of penalties, missed assignments and too much extra curricular going on. Heard this was the case last week as well. Quote
spidersal Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago From what I have seen on this message board is that Nederland is young this year. We have to remember that freshman and JV football is a lot different from varsity. It will take time for the youth to adjust to varsity. It appears that the main issue will be defensively. For some reason and I certainly donāt know why, the Bulldogs havenāt played good defense since Delbert Spell retired. I canāt tell whether it a lack of talent, coaching issues, no priority for good defense, are a combination of these issues. Hopefully they can get a lot of these defensive issues solved in the next few weeks Quote
oldschool2 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Don't let the fact that while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, 'Spare Tire' Dixon, distract you from the fact that this conversation is about a scrimmage. Lots of unsportsmanlike penalties, especially after the fight. Think it went like 10-12 straight plays with a penalty AggiesAreWe 1 Quote
thaferrett Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago One more thing about this "live portion"Ā WB drives down the field throws a pick on theĀ 2yd line.Ā NED doesn't start on the two.Ā WB kick off to NED.Ā Ā None of this was a real football game.Ā Ā Brock Anderson who caught two tds yesterday is a freshman.Ā WB doesn't have many seniors.Ā Quote

As well as other people who were there. Pretty much everyone except for two or three nederland guys, if we're being honest. I remember when I was in 9th grade we scrimmaged Ozen in basketball, and they beat us by 50, but we won the 4th quarter by 2! Our coach made sure we knew about that 4th quarter. Quote
