Any word on Vidor this upcoming season, i've been kinda out of the loop since the nephew has graduated. Just wondering what we have to look forward to this upcoming season.

Slot t has produced most offensive production in vidors history. Though Subpar. It is what it is. They were less successful without it

Young... Next year and the following year will be the year Vidor makes hella noise.

The good news is they cant be worse than their last team. QB cant be worse than the last one, hopefully they will get a man sized qb with some skills. Vidors set it and forget it scheme hurts them alot but Mathews chose his best friend as his replacement and its the same ole' same ole'. Its the state of mind  and good ole boy system that will always hurt them. They are barely making the playoffs in one of the worst districts in the state and the powers that be are content with that. When DuBois builds his retirement up he will assign Trahan to fill his spot. No hope in sight, nothing changes until it changes

Vidor should have a good group coming up. Not sure where exactly freshman or sophomores all im aware of is that core group played 8th grade football 2 years in a row a few years ago 🤣

"No hope in sight"... You are very mistaken.  There is a group (sophomores this year) that will IF they all continue to play football be very, very dangerous.  I've had the pleasure of watching this group from little league to jr high and now into high school.  Last year a few of the freshman played varsity and a couple even started, but the majority that played freshman football.  The freshman team went undefeated, constantly put up 40+ pts and have a handful of shutouts. So, in a couple years lets revisit this conversation.

They are sophomores this year and if all continue to play football, they will be extremely good.

Ahh okay... So, you think the parents of that age group held back their kiddos?  You would be incorrect if that is what you are thinking.  I personally know the parents of most those kids and I can tell you that they most certainly did not hold back their kids.

Again, you are incorrect and correct.  Those young men will have played the same amount of football as anyone else and yes; they will be extremely good... if everyone continues to play football.

I might be wrong, but I believe he thinks the parents held these kids back in junior high... I think that is what he means.

*There is a group of sophomores at Vidor that when they are seniors will be one of the best football teams in the area... if they all stick with football.

Being held back or "reclasifying" to gain an extra year of eligibility for sports. Common practice for some areas
