2 questions:

Are there local areas where the coaches meet up to set schedules and?

Are these areas open to the public?

Use to be at Region V Center in Beaumont but now not sure if they do that anymore. We use to do a live broadcast of the event years ago.

From my understanding, only the media was allowed to attend.

One domino fell.....

From Greg Riddle: BREAKING: After winning back-to-back state titles, DeSoto submits appeal to UIL to remain in 6A.

DeSoto could have chosen to play in 5A Division I, where its shrinking enrollment put it.

Guess we'll see tomorrow morning, willing to bet that was made earlier than today.

Tomorrow morning is the official release to the public.

The coaches have had an unofficial release for over a month now.

Most have already made their non district schedules

then why are coaches sending out messages looking for week 1 or 2 or 3 games

Almost every team will have week 1, 2 and 3 non-district games. They all try to fill a schedule. If you wait till after the new alignment you will be stuck with no games or driving a long ways.

Because they plan ahead.  Stupid if you don’t.   You look at projected districts and have plans in place for 2,3 or 4 non district games.

Like I said coaches have unofficially known for about a month.

This last month was just the UIL double checking things before they released it ti the public.

No they haven’t “unofficially known”. All they “know” is what has been put out through different publications mock alignments. They have an “idea” and prepare for different scenarios.

I’m sure it’s been done.. but all of 5A D1 just screamed excitement lol

Realistically it's more like 13 teams. The 7 they would have beaten in district and the 6 on the way to winning state. Everyone else it really doesn't effect.

Well, today I guess we get to find out who we're going 2-8 against next season? Have new QB transferring in which fits more along the lines of what Willis wants to run but as far as talent retention the wheels continue to come off. The Austin Walter-like stud freshman running back transferred out a few weeks ago and we may be losing the Craig Williams clone out of the same class. Going to be a depressing journey until we can get a coach who can pump some life back into the program.

    • No chance in hell that this pos is found guilty.
    • After his silly conviction, President Trump has raised over 200 Million dollars!  The people are seeing through it!  Excellent!
    • Let’s see if joe biden’s words about no one is above the law, made after the rigged trial of President Trump, rings true with his po💩son.  Hopefully, but I’m not going to hold my breath, they put the sorry sob in prison.
    • I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73
    • Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class. We invite you to follow our boys as they go to state.  We welcome the greater SETX communities as honorary Yellowjackets.  Tune in, watch live or come to Round Rock personally and join us in supporting the Chester Yellowjackets.  Go ‘Jackets!!! ⚾️💜💛⚾️🟣🟡⚾️💜💛⚾️
