I thought so. talent runs deep in that family. Chris Miller ate our lunch and  took our backpack.

Miller had 2 younger brothers who played for Silsbee around 2000. They were were twins. One rushed for 1000 and the other was a very good DB. Jonte and Donte Miller. Great family!.

JK Dobbins had less than 50 yards against Coach T defense. He plays well on Sundays (when healthy) A Coach Thompson defense  would not have let this happen

With that defense that went to the state championship? Or the current players? Im not  disagreeing that T would have had a game plan but that kid is catching a ball with two defenders on top of him. Coach T can only do so much with the athletes that he has  on the field. Let me ask you this if Coach T is the defense Guru what happen in the state championship game against  Gilmer? Or last year yall couldn't stop the quarterback. WOS doesn't go 16-0 every year they do get beat.

It was a good night in the pressbox.  CT himself showed up and I escorted Charlie Woodard to him. Those two shared some stories and had a good old time.

Great game Mustangs.  I was expecting this type of game and it shows how much these two teams matter to this area.

Losing to Silsbee is not an  insult or season ending situation.... regardless of some of the posts on this thread.

I firmly believe the games against the Stangs have helped Silsbee prepare for deep playoff runs for many years.

Let it be the same and lets hope for another Regional Final matchup.

Miller is special and he obviously went off.  lol.  But several great catches were made by Cartwright and Elder.  Those passes were thrown by Brisbane who was on another level tonight!  Silsbee had over 600 yds offense tonight.

Defensively....Silsbee was lights out.  Penalties hurt their performance but make no mistake, those fellas was representing.

Last thing I will say on this game.....the Mustangs brought this out of those Tigers.  Very few teams have that effect.

I Respect Mustang Nation.

Maybe a better defense scheme and more pressure on QB, and the throw never gets there. We could what if all night.

Changes were made and we are seeing the benefits of losing. Credit Silsbee with everything they deserve. But just as well, discredit where it is due. Did anyone hear the announcer predicting the plays?

Man I get no credit!!  Maybe I actually know what play would be needed in those situations?

Been watching these two teams go at it for a LONG time.

What were the final passing numbers?

rough number.... 400+

Brisbane was dropping dimes tonight.  Even we were taken aback by the accuracy he was delivering.

Miller was devastating on two levels.... his athleticism was on display obviously, but the ball was put in places where

he was able to not stop his routes.  Crazy.

I cant even begin on the three passes to Cartwright.... back shoulder passes that only the receiver could grab.

WOS did not blitz a whole lot. Silsbee did. Both teams offensive play calling is predictable.

Not true.... WOS blitzed.  Quite often.  Watch the film.

Just paid for it on a couple plays.  Silsbee pass blocking was excellent.

Doesnt matter if its predictable if you can execute.

This game could have easily been worse if not for some stupid Tiger penalties.  No disrespect to the kids but this was the worst team I’ve ever witnessed from WOS.  Is this just a young team?  If it’s just youth I understand.  This is the first Wos-Silsbee game where I’ve never really felt threatened by their offense.

8/8 return on both sides of the ball. Not young. 26 PPG. School record. That all ill say to avoid being "unsupportive".

I didnt see the MLB walking up in the gaps like silsbee. They might have blitzed 5 yards back and i didnt pay attention to the corners and out side linebackers

    • Poster I guess forgot about 2022 Port Arthur Memorial as well. (3rd round lost was to Longview who won Region 2). And last year that 1st round game was against Forney who won Region 2 as well.
    • FBM made it to the 4th round in 22-23. If that’s “weak,” I don’t know what “strong” is.
