Haven't been keeping up with college ball like I use to, so let me ask you guys a question.

Is Nick Saban that superior to all the other coaches in college?  Is Alabama paying their players?  Basically, why does Alabama dominate college football?

We are deciding between going to Bama or Sourh Carolina.  I’ll probably go to the home game against Clemson and usually take the whole family to one of the cheaper games.  Playing Bama and Clemson in the first 4 weeks may be a rough start for Jimbo next year.  Those 2 plus Georgia in 2019 will be even worse.

1) Yes

2) Yes

3)  See answers to 1 & 2.

Seriously, imho, Nick is GOAT of college football coaches.  In fact, we are in rare times where we have the best of all time in the two major sports at both the collegiate and professional levels (Saban, Belichik, krzyzewski, & Popovich).

Saban is the best in the business no doubt, but the most impressive thing he does imo is getting his 5 star players to sit the bench for 2 years until the other 5 stars leave.  He gets the best players which helps, but keeping them all from transferring in this day is pretty impressive.

I said this exact same thing yesterday! It’s something sports fans should not take for granted, we are watching history.

That only works if you can show success. If they lost 3 or 4 games, those 5 stars would start to question every decision. Winning cures all ills.

Interesting....

Kyler Murray picked #9 in the MLB Draft by the A’s  So does he play QB next year for Oklahoma?

Supposedly he told teams it was contingent on him playing football next year, but no way he can turn down $4.8m in slot money.

Baylor to air a game exclusively on Facebook.  That may actually be a step up from FS1

You mean the network that broadcast the World Series?  Don’t let your hatred make you as “special” as the rest of the inbreds in your conference...

    • but will he be doing contact football drills mid-season?
    • That was an awesome video!  I feel so proud of these young men.  They proved the doubters wrong.  Bellville should be proud, too.  I know it didn't end like they had hoped, but we've been there, so we can definitely empathize with them.  Great season, Brahmas!
    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.
