Think this says more about our district than anything. Crosby is the best team in our district and has been for a while and they have only been past the 2nd round once since 2010. Barring a miracle tomorrow Crosby is the only team in our district to get past the 2nd round in the last 5 years.

Neither 21 or 22-5a has done that well since 2010. Crosby, Nederland twice, Dayton, Vidor, and PNG have made it past 2nd round. This year 22-5a will probably have PNG and PAM. Maybe they can get lightning in a bottle.

Marshall did not lose anyone to Ridge point. Ridge point pulled from Hightower and elkins.

I think marshall has always had athletes. they probably just have a better group of kids right now and maybe a better coach to pull the best from them.

Crosby has only been past the 2nd round once since 2009. With the talent they have been having it's unacceptable.

I agree and after watching round 1 playoff game, I  question the decisions of thier coach about QB position.  I'm on the outside looking in though. Crosby is a tremendous regular season team, but become suspect in the playoffs.

You hit it on the head. We still get blown out the same way in the second round we did under Flannigan, we just win more during the regular season. Game really wasn't even competitive, they out-athleted us from the first whistle to the last. 

Sad part is with Jaiden Howard playing QB next year Crosby will probably once again win the district and play from the same playoff position meaning we'll get Marshall again, who just blew the doors off of us with a bunch of sophomores and juniors. 

Crosby has basically been destroyed 4 out of last 5 years in the second round. I count Manir because that one wasn't competitive in the second half but the other second round losses have been by 28 to Elgin, 28 to Ridge Point and 21 to Marshall.

Destroyed? Okay. Sure. This game was not getting destroyed it was one team executing... And one team failing in the redzone 3 times. Good for Marshall but both these teams will/would lose next week.
