We have had some trouble finding a place to take us.

Mt. Enterprise had originally said yes, but 2 days later their Sup. said no thanks.  

Been very frustrating attempting to find a location.  Should have everything finalized by Monday morning.  Will post when it is finalized.

Have an idea since they are from the Gilmer area:

Convince them to come to Chester this year and agree to go to Union Hill next year if y'all are put in the same district. This way they will have to come to Chester 2 out of 3 times giving y'all two home games.

Coach try Cushing isd very close to mount enterprise and they didn't make the playoffs so they could accommodate you if you haven't agreed on a site yet

Coach Fudge, I saw on the Union Hill school site that the game has been set for 4pm Saturday in Palestine.  Can you confirm that?

Cushing was one of our next options.  But their field was torn up after the game against SA and then the rain did not help it any.  

 

I will not tell you how many options we went through before we settled on Palestine...

I think Chester is the real deal this year. Fudge is doing a great job getting the ball rolling in Chester and I have a feeling they have some good years ahead of them.  They have a great team of boys. I cant remember who on the team are seniors this year but if most of them return they will continue to be great. There is nothing like watching Chester kick the ball off. You can tell those boys are head hunting. I have been seeing a lot of good tings out of Levi Watts lately. Also seems like Jutty Vaughn cant be stopped.

      That's exactly what I'm opining. In 2022 PN-G went to state, right? They went 3-6 in district in baseball that same year. I bet the only one that knows that stat either played baseball that year or looked it up. I don't think the baseball record hurt the AD's street cred.

      Well I have coached around SETX for the last 20 years.. I have not seen many playing in "their school fall ball team".. seen some playing select.. not high school fall ball... IN FACT some schools are not playing in the school fall ball league cause they can not find enough players.. cause most of them play football..

      I played 3 sports and went on to play college soccer.  But the football coach wasn't having me do contact drills (or kicking drills) in the middle of soccer district, jeopardizing my soccer playoffs, either.  I think that's the issue here.  All of the guys on here who pretty much only care about football think that's the way the AD should run things, and a good AD should be taking care of all athletes and making sure all teams are as successful as possible.

      Texas is a football mecca, but a good AD still does more than win at just football.  this isn't 30 years ago.  screwing over other programs and only concentrating on football is not a recipe for promotion.  You can't tell me that these big time jobs aren't going to look beyond football record when they have hundreds of applications?
