That's right , 38 consecutive years running , regardless of Class...... 5A-4A-3A

2015 will be the fifth non-playoff year since the UIL integrated in 1969.

Yates made the playoffs back in 2012 and that team wasn't good at all. I think they lost to Stafford by 40 who lost to Silsbee by 30.

Many Playoff streaks are not as impressive now with 4 teams going, especially in 6 team districts....but 38 years is impressive since many of those years it was 1 or 2 from each district.

Yates is not eliminated yet.  They sit 2-2 in district with three games to go.  When you deal with HISD, anything came happen.

WOS missed the playoffs in 2001, 2002 and 2003 as one of the smallest 4A schools in the state.  Both 2002 and 2003 going 8-2 and losing out in a 3-way tie for 1st.

The streaks we have that are rather impressive is not having had a losing season since 1983 and winning 64 out of our past 65 district games.  We won 32 in a row from 2003-2008, lost 1 to Silsbee, and as of this week have yet another 32 game district winning streak going.

We've also gone 143 consecutive games without being shutout dating back to a 0-17 loss to Bay City in 2004.

I'd like to know the last time SL Carrol lost a district game because Trinity beat them last week.  Payback from SLC knocking Trinity off in district for the 1st time in a while last year.....

 

Jack Yates still has a shot of making the playoffs.....

What's more impressive is NF Bulldogs getting it done after being absorbed in HISD.......

Northshore had an 80+ game district record until that monsoon rain game in PA which they lost 7-6.........

They list North Shore's streak as 52. Their longest regular season win streak was 78.
