smitty
The 1970 TJ team had probably the best group of athletes TJ, or any team in the area, ever had. Should have won State that year. Lost to Austin Reagan one game from State...

H-D BOBCAT 55
How far we going back, lol? Hull-Daisetta way back in 1936, at the beginning of what would eventually be, the National Record winning streak of 43 consecutive wins, gave up an unbelievable (1) TD all football season! What a team defense! And the games were against some large schools at the time. Hull-Daisetta went 11-0 during the seasons of 1936,1937 & 1938, in 1939 the winning streak was snapped by Humble at 43 straight wins, that HD team went 8-1. Talk about a group of players over 4 years, hands down some of the best teams ever! That 1936 team that gave up 6 points and won it all, has to be considered as one of the best. Also a cool fact, in 1934 and 1935 HD went 7-1 and 7-1-1, with HD winning it all in 1935. That 1935 HD defense only gave up (2) TD's all season. So those players on the 1935 and 1936 defense for HD, only gave up 3 TD's in 2 seasons!! WOW!
D3zii
Was that 76 team the ones who played South Oak Cliff at South Park field?? Tee
PNG 1975, #1 in the state most of the year, state champ. In largest classification. #2 in the nation. 6/7 Allstate, 11/12 all district. Hebert was good but 3a not 4a, my Mom taught there. WB could argue but the #2 in the Nation is hard to argue with all the success. Scholarships to Texas, Tennessee, Texas Tech, several Lamar, etc... We beat yall earlier in the year when yall were ranked #1 . Yall returned the favor when it counted . Les koenning said whoever won that game would win state .
