That would be a shocker!  Unranked vs. No. 1?  Might not be the last chance to see United play locally.  Nederland could win.  That would be an upset too but now as monumental.

That would be huge. . Would love for that to happen and have them play at Lamar maybe??

I heard about the athletic period situation and not all the athletes on the team are able to attend, plus I heard the weight room situation is well below average at United,

what are BISD head football coaches making now? I know a few years ago peevey was at 86k the year he went to the championship game,

I’m not sure, I know Dallas ISD just approved to pay the Football HC 100k+ I believe , and we’re not going to even get into the suburbs. .

Its money, its facilities, its alignment of the program, its teaching fields/loads for coordinators, its overall campus setup...so much goes into it...for example its tough to expect anyone to succeed at United when the kids are only going to athletics every other day..its like fighting w/one hand tied behind your back, especially in that district

EXACTLY!!!! BISD is not invested in their sports programs BISD is just blessed to have gifted athletes!!!!! Even in Basketball didn’t Coach Green have to take a paycut when he left Notth Shore??? I could be wrong but I thought I seen that somewhere

Nah, I doubt it.  A job is what you make of it.  Apparently, that’s the rumor that’s been put into everyone’s ear….  That the BU job is bottom tier.  But the fact of the matter is that coaches in BISD has access to pretty good resources and have access to some fine athletes as well.  And the pay is on par with pay from multi HS districts (no AD title).  But folks know this coming in the door, but it ends up being a problem later.  🤷🏾‍♂️

At the end of the day, I’m glad ok dude is gone and it’s done early.  Plenty of time to get someone in so he can hire a staff, all before spring football…

Athletes on par with most in the state , but let’s be honest BISD doesn’t do what it takes to keep or attract great coaches… BISD made this a “stepping stone” job , while It should be a dream job. With the Athletes, history, recruiting location, etc, coaches should be knocking down the door but instead you got a school like 6A WB who went to State but the coach left for a 4A LCM, or back in 2009 When Coach Stowers took a Central team 4 rounds and had a team just as good coming back but left for a DFW job. . Think about those Stump coached WB teams,  Is never been about the athletes, They’re going to be there, is everything else. So while I hate coach Graham did that, and is really bad for the kids, can you blame him???

Yea it might not be a bottom tier job as far as athleticism is concerned but unfortunately is more than that.

Duncanville tried that last year. Got Donkey stomped.

Are you talking about Playing out of state?? or Playing Karr??

If so It wasnt Karr D'Ville played it was Mater Dei out of Cali, (Which imo I give props for the confidence) but even with the transfer rules in DFW a public school like D'ville had no business playing a school like Mater Dei...But that's just my opinion

We always reload, its what good programs do, unlike a Graham Cracker coached program, you got your angry emails ready yet? And welcome back home to 6A where yall belong again. Hahahaha. Bet you can't wait til bball season again next school year huh, it's gonna be tougher though with Cita and SC beating yall Timberpuppies arse.

😅 😅 You don't even believe that yourself,  Nah but it'll definitely be tougher on both ends (Fball & Bball) moving up to 6A..

P.S. in my honest opinion SC and Cita aren't the ones United should be worried about at least in B-Ball, its their cross-town rival down the street 🙃

    Anywho Back on topic ....

The Alamo Dome doesn’t have the atmosphere that the Drum had but I can leave my hotel room and pull up at the door at the Dome in 5-10 minutes. Traffic is so bad in Austin you can’t drive and eat and get back in time for the next session…Side note our tickets are row two mid could this year

Yea I actually liked Austin and once the moody center is built It imo would be the best place to host, but the cities infrastructure makes commute a nightmare, and San Antonio is also a nice place to visit. The Venue isn't ideal but the area its in and parking makes up for it

As much as I love me some College Station, SA has much more to offer to the fan than Aggieland.

Besides, I have my routine down pat in SA and my hotel is right beside the Dome. Never have to get in my truck once I get to hotel on Wednesday. Everything I want or need to do is in walking distance.

That's definitely the best thing about S.A. Everything is walking distance if you stay in the right place...Alamodome, Food, entertainment etc...

BTW we know you love your 12th man, but God forbid it ever goes to College Station, Might as well put it in Beaumont. Lol
