  1. It appears it got at least 2 peoples attention. Also, one would hope that the vice-president is not a racist, but a statement like that makes one wonder......don't ya think?
  2. The draw back of coaching your son. I had a similar situation in basketball. The problem with LL is you never know what kind of coach your gonna get. I'm starting to feel that if I'm going to spend all the time playing and practicing, might as well dedicate a few more hours and play select. At least you know going in the history of the coach and it loks like you could have your pick if your son has the talent.
  3. HAHAHA.........Dick that was from your Presidents right hand man Joe Bidden.......last I checked, he is not from SE TEXAS!
  4. I HATE CONCESSION STAND DUTY!
  5. VERY good points!!
  6. Yall have already had your draft? Lumberton is not for a couple weeks
  7. ITT doesn't give MBA's. The University of Houston does. :-[
  8. This dumb as a sack of rocks seems to one of your favorite expressions. Rather that just throw these barbs out, tell us how many conversations you had with Ms. Palin and what did you use to make your "Dumb" assessment of her. Well, let me guess; you've never spoken to her have you. You did hear some of her speeches and some of her responses to questions. The speeches were good - the responses were not. Now answer this inquiry: how do you feel you would have done being bombarded by the same people with the same questions. I don't care if you answer me, but be truthful in your answer to yourself. I'm not dumb, at least not as a sack of rocks, but I know that had the media been grilling me on the wide array of subjects that were thrown at Ms. Palin my responses would have indeed been sketchy at best and more probably uninformed pretty much across the board. I certainly believe that she was uninformed and beyond naive (I've already stated that) in what she was expecting to take place. But, as some of you are so quick to point out - this is a forum and you can state your opinion in any way that you want. And with your continous use of the sack of rocks expression it causes me to wonder if we have a rock that is envious of a sack of rocks. man, where have you been..........thats two great post today
  9. Took care of your karma buddy.....and my last post was a total joke. I was just messin around.....I figured I could with you. Keep up the good post and don't let a few people get ya down!
  10. Where were you when this thread started? We could have done away with a lot of these stupid posts if you had come on here first. Nice post. WHOS POST YOU CALLING STUPID!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  11. Man, Thats the best post I have read in a long time. It was long, but a very entertaining and factual read. Good Job Tigersvoice!!
  12. I just recently moved my trailer from Toledo. I was near mill creek on the south end of the lake. If I were going this month, here is what I would try. Early AM: Fish points in 4-8 ft of water. Topwater and spinners. By 10:00am, move to 10-12ft Texas rig or wacky, slow it down. I would also try deep crank baits with a slow retrieve. The bass should be going fairly shallow in the early mornings to feed and then moving to deep water. when fishing shallow, make sure there is deep water fairly close to the shallow your fishing. If none of that worked, go near Texas island and find the beach. Anchor in about 6 ft of water, get a beer, jump in and relax. Hopefully its a full moon so you can night fish with top waters!
  13. There was no excuse for SFA85 and the bandkid insult. Apparently only a few of us find it...........nevermind!
  14. as I said from the first thread, not a big SP fan, but she has been treated unfairly. I could tolerate personal attacks on just her (part of politics), but too much was said about both her kids
  15. yea, I think any body of water you can get to the gulf you are required
  16. It's pretty hard to tell who started the name calling now because some of the moderators HAD to edit some post. The edits were because of at least one person who crossed the line. Its hard for me to believe you cant see that. I think bullets and the rest of the moderators are doing a great job policing this site. If you disagree, please exercise your freedom and post somewhere else.
  17. You are such a terrific moderator Mr. SETX Sportsbroadcaster....You are doing a bang up job, dude...Keep up the good work. : I got you bullets, and real good post baddog....seriously. First time I have EVER gave DickVitale a positive KARMA point!!
  18. I think the flare thing has to do with what size boat you have and where you are fishing. I was stopped a couple years ago and was warned about flares because I was fishing Sabine lake and I need them there. If I were fishing Rayburn or Toledo, I do not need them. I still don't have them, guess I need to get some.
  19. My father always used to tell me that the LA game wardens could take your boat and all the property if they caught you breaking laws without a license. Not sure how true it is, but I make sure I'm on the straight and narrow when in Sabine lake.
  20. I don't think it's the sole reason, however, teaching the fundamentals at an early age helps improve the skills once they hit Jr. high and HS......IMO I was also not trying to take anything away from the hard work that the students and coaches do at the high school level, just another aspect of the entire program.
  21. The first winning season was the first year the team benefited from the Lumberton Youth Football programs. Now we are like most others and start them out at 5 years old playing flag........ P.S.........Gonna rock this year
  22. Are you gonna throw me in?
  23. I have more if someone else needs one to fish with. We need to get together with Bullets in a couple weeks and go to sabine lake. I might take you up on the flyrod offer....I dont remember what kind of shape mine is in. Would be fun catching reds or specs on a flyrod.
  24. Hope you have room for TVC's 4 fly rods ;D
  25. Yeah but I think it is a gimmick really. I guess you can verbally commit at 5 years old if you want to but by NCAA rules, it is obviously not allowed. This is nothing more than a father making an over the top pitch for his son and his alma mater. He might have "committed" to Tennessee but I'll bet Tennessee hasn't accepted. I think that the kid's father is trying to vicariously live his youth again through his son, possibly at the son's expense... which I guess is why you think that it is not right.... and I agree. I just don't think it is much more than a publicity stunt. publicity stunt.........might put pressure on the HS coach to start him
