  1. I had trouble finding any place to catch updates on this one and was a bit nervous to check the score this morning. Looks like GP's main threat did not play from looking at the highlights. Good win for Lee after losing so much of their offense from last year. Lots of fumbles by GP certainly helped, but Lee looked better than I was expecting on Hudl. This is about the same score they beat GP last year more or less. I guess we will see how things shake out over the next few weeks.
  2. Just went and checked out the Hudl film of the KF running back and this guy is a beast. It's no wonder GCM let a couple big plays slip past them. Not highly recruited from what I can see. This is the type of kid that ends up at Tulane and gets drafted in the third round and we all wonder why he wasn't at a bigger school.
  3. Crosby is what I call east of the San Jacinto river good. The moment they venture west they usually get their clocks cleaned. Couple of games here and there where they didn't but they have the cleanest clock in the district for a reason.
  4. If someone just wandered into the forum they might think we are discussing North Shore or Aledo or Katy here. What's Crosby made it out of the second round of the playoffs three times the last decade?
  5. That was 2007 when they called the game due to the storm that was passing through i believe Brownsville at the time. I was hoping the lightning would stay out of the 500 mile radius they set as being the guidelines but alas...
  6. Great season gcm. I've had about enough of Paetow. Football...then basketball... They will be taking Sterling behind the woodshed in baseball playoffs in a few months, just wait.
  7. Who had a good team in 1988? Lee had a really good team in 1993. Lost to eventual state champ willow ridge in second round of playoffs.
  8. Man. Looking at the list made me go look up this scott kid from texas city who made newcomer as a freshman. Good luck blocking that guy in three years.
  9. Westlake had the officials in their back pocket. Some horrible calls just in the 18 minutes of game time I watched.
  10. I know they are sort of grading on a curve as it relates to putting carthage in There, but still...seems a bit off to have them. You could take someone like cy fair and they'd pound carthage by 40.
  11. Marshall wouldn't have positive yardage at the end of the game against north shore and north shore's first team offense would never face even a third down much less punt. My guess would be maybe 48-0 at the half.
  12. This is just a tough district to draw in the first round. Their 5th and 6th place teams would likely have won our district or had a good shot. When their 4th place team beats The Woodlands and keeps Westfield within single digits, you know you're in trouble.
  13. Good season Ganders. We'll get em next year.
  14. Paetow is just better. I'd love to be proven wrong. Lee can't get anything going. They did turn it over twice. Once due to rain the other was a forced interception by the defense. Nothing doing at all on offense outside if the one long run by Davis for a td. Paetow just methodically ramming it up the middle.
  15. 21-6 paetow. 5:04 to half
  16. 7-6 after 1. Paetow dodged a bullet on a fumble that was called down before the ball came out on their own 12. Now driving
  17. Should have tried to play it yesterday. This rain is going to favor paetows style.
  18. I know they have been pretty bad for a while, but what happened out there. One of those teams I just expected to be good forever like refugio or cuero or someone.
  19. I always liked the old starburst kick off returns. Haven't seen one of those in a while.
  20. Didn't say they were definitely going to score. They just had some momentum and like I said they needed to play a near perfect game. The interception was a momentum changer.
  21. Ganders just don't have enough depth. That early interception when they were going to go up 21-7 was a killer. Everything needed to go right and that changed the momentum. With every player playing both ways it was just a matter of time from there.
  22. Coach just made a huge blunder I guess is the only way you can put it. Ball would be in the playoff hunt likely had 22 been starting from day one.
  23. I wasn't able to make the game but this discussion intrigued me. I went to see 22's highlights on hudl. It appears he only started playing qb against Memorial? Hard to believe because the kid looked like a poor man's vince young on the tape against Memorial. And not a whole lot of notches below Vince for that matter. He can't throw that well, but is he not considered a national recruit? I don't follow high school and college football the way I used to so I don't know all the names on the recruiting trail, but this kid could play for any college in the country.
