CLASSY!!!!  Geez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
nice job bullying a girl. i don't think nbr owns this thread. don't be so touchy. there are multiple leagues with all ages of kids in this area. people are gonna pick for themselves anyway. i don't think nbr is gonna have problems getting kids this year. all of the annexing stuff is kinda stupid anyway. there have been kids from orange county playing at nbr for years.
spoonbill, I see no bullying in that post. He was just astonished that the NBR thread was a little hijacked for another league. Actually, in all your posts on this thread, I sense some anger and spite towards NBR. Do you have a problem with Nederland Babe Ruth? Really, this thread is all about kids who want to play some great baseball with kids from all over the area. What can anyone not like about that?
no anger or spite. i do find it interesting that there was "several requests" from b.c. for the 13-14 yr olds last year when b.c. little league had 6 teams of kids that age. maybe the requests were from the yr before when the other league in b.c. for that age was in trouble. i know the city of b.c. really support that little league. it just surprises me that they had so many requests. there is no anger towards nbr here. i've been affiliated with a league for many yrs and wish them all the best. it's a thankless hard job running a youth league, but the pay is good. ;) maybe a hamburger here and there. all kids should get a taste of the big field before they get to high school... it's night and day. i believe all of the leagues for kids 13 and above are on a regulation high school field.

 3.
I have a question about Jr/Sr league.  I know in Pony the bases and the mound are shorter than HS, which kinda puts the kids at a disadvantage when they get to HS.  What are the rules for Jr/Sr league?  90 foot bases?  60'6" from the mound?  Just wondering
little league jr and sr fields are the same as high school fields. the fences may be a little shorter at some parks. (around 300) the bases and pitching mound are the same, as are the rules with the exception of pitch counts. evadale jrs play on their high school field. b.c. and vidor's fields are nice and the umps are taso high school umps. the seniors (15-16) start after the high school team has been eliminated from post season.
 4. vidor little league would be interested in adding some interleague games with p.n. they already interleague with b.c. and evadale.
 5. vidor little league interleagued last yr with b.c. and evadale. they would be interested in adding some games with p.n. their jrs are 13-14..seniors 15-16.
 6. penders would be awesome if he would come. roc seems to like "looking" the part of coach as much as being the coach. dave h definitely deserves respect for the work he does. i've seen him lugging around the camera at kids swim meets to get his own footage. he really seems to love what he does and does a great job. don't do anything with tidwell. leave him where he is. he sure seems to have the team on the up. he sure doesn't look like a great coach or a motivated teacher, but looks are deceiving. i think he may turn out to be one of the best girl's coaches lamar has had. lamar needs to lock him down.
 7.
bring in TIM FLOYD.......
omg...you've got to be kidding me. you'd have to wear boots to the games to walk thru the slime. now, penders...you may be on to something. tubbs is fine. when he turned the team over to roc, it seemed like a good move at the time. maybe it's time to rethink that. tubbs is a very capable ad.
 8.

those dugouts are tiny and too close to not have any type of fence in front or short wall in front.
Just wanted you to know spoonbill that they powers that be must have been listening as there is now a fence in front of both dugouts at the baseball field. Does not make them bigger, but with the fence moved out from the front players will be able to place gear gags on the fence to free up space inside the dugouts.
that should definitely help. you sure didn't have to tell anyone in the dugout to pay attention last year. there was no need to even take your glove off when you come in from the field. i'm gonna have to come check out that green monster.
 9. bump...i'll take the first $150 offered. like i said new in the wrapper.
 10. i believe that there was a league in bridge city (babe ruth, pony) for 13 and up, but that it folded a couple yrs ago. bridge city little league then picked up all of the kids in that age range. they had plenty of kids last yr and i suspect will continue to grow that age group. they are well organized and have some good coaches. it never hurts to have more choices though. there are always parents/kids that have issues with particular leagues.
 11.

I wonder if assorted Orange County and Greater Beaumont area assorted Associations ought to all annex Nederland's geographic area?
Nederland Babe Ruth has no intention of steering players away from other leagues in Orange County.  I guess I should've explained the reason we are annexing...we have had several people in Bridge City show an interest in playing Babe Ruth but our geographic area does not cover Orange County.  I think it's a personal option & if you don't have the option of a Babe Ruth league in Orange County, why not give the kids a place where they can come play?
i know bridge city little league had i believe 6 teams of juniors last year. (that is 13 and 14 yr olds) they also had some senior league teams (15 and 16) i'm not sure where the "give the kids a place to play" comes into account. oh...also, vidor little league has junior and senior teams also. included in bridge city little league is also orangefield. included in vidor little league is deweyville and parts of lcmisd.
 12.
Vidor Youth Baseball on Old Hwy 90 is alive and well. We play PONY, not Babe Ruth. We will be taking registrations on January 23rd and 30th at the ballpark.
didn't y'all use to have baseball for ages above 12? was that babe ruth?
 13. isn't there anyway to get rid of these idiot kids that are kidnapping all of the threads of people trying to actually talk about sports?
 14.
since i know nothing about bats i'm not allowed to comment in this thread
tru dat!
 15. those dugouts are tiny and too close to not have any type of fence in front or short wall in front.
 16.
What is a "Mom" doing with game films?
probably helping break down the opposing team's offense. some of those moms know what they're doing.
