thieves steal from local little league

i've been told that the story was a little inaccurate. there was no window left open, but one swinging window in the back was torn off to gain access. hopefully the people responsible are caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. -
sad to know that there are people out there that would sink this low. [Hidden Content]
Vidor graduated over 2/3 of the varsity-33 seniors-10 juniors ret.as seniors+add the JV.
what was vidor's jv record last year? i believe there were quite a few kids on that team that had the ability to play up, but the varsity team was full of seniors.

unfortunately this looks like the year to do it. he's done his part for years. take what we can get and wish him luck.

what are the age ranges for the juniors and seniors? -
it's sad to say, but this is the year they need to see what we can get for berkman and oswalt. i hate to see them go, but it's time.
There are some of us out here still waiting to hear from hitman009 who Crosby has faced this year better than Trae Hester. I am noy being argumentative, just curious what great pitchers they have seen this year.
that may be a long wait. he doesn't want to screw up his theory with facts. there are kids out there that can outpitch trae, but they are few and far between. he is very good. i hope he adds at least one more W to his high school career stats.

curtis is a junior. isn't v. armstrong a junior also? -
i've heard "tacky" comments from announcers at nederland baseball and football games.... mainly football games. it doesn't seem as "tacky" when it's your announcers and your team and you are the one on the wrong side of a call. you mostly remember the ones when you're the visitor. it shouldn't happen, but it does on occasion. it's not like this is the first time it has occurred.

very unusual. i guess if you're a very talented frosh, you have to make it all the way to the varsity to move up. also, i guess if you are a junior and aren't ready for varsity, you have to quit....odd.
We don't have all 4. We have a true freshmen team, a JV team that, at the moment, consists of all sophomores, and then Varsity that is made up of juniors and seniors.
tomato - tomahto. it's the same thing. almost all of the soph teams are freshman. jv is mostly sophmores with a couple freshman and juniors. varsity may have all 4. i would bet my house that no high school team has all an freshman team and one w/ all sophmores and one with just jrs and srs. there is no way your team should end up like that unless the coach can't gauge talent. and i know for a fact the coaches of the top teams around here can judge talent.

most of the teams in the area have switched to soph,jv, and varsity. most freshman are on the soph team. i didn't know there were teams that still had all 4.

what was your JVs record last year
Vidors JV was pretty good last year. The only game they lost was to PNG in a shoot out. I believe the score was 42 to 35. The game was back and forth down to the last seconds of the game. By far the best JV game in the district last year and like PNG the team was made of almost all sophmores.
that was a great game. wasn't that the one where a png player kept drilling the fg holder helmet to helmet, but it never was called. i felt sorry for that kid. he was defenseless. -

who ran the concession stand in the past? isn't that usually ran by the booster club at most schools? -
wow...i got whacked/censored. i guess no more talk about the state of girls' junior high athletics in vidor. on a side note, whoever does get the job will have a definite stud/studette? player on his/her team. the richmond girl is the shiznizzle and was only a freshman this year. she can shoot the rock and run with anybody...great athlete.
The youth soccer program is an organization run by Clint Brasher and Chad LaPray. They have several different teams...boys and girls at different ages. They all play out of Beaumont and/or tournaments.
my bad...i thought it was out of orange. i know that the soccer org is run the right way and the kids get great teaching. i've never been involved, but i know vidor's soccer is definitely on the upswing.
The softball team has been hurting for a while now, basketball just this year started to win some games, volleyball got last in district I don't know about scoccer or swimming.
your point?
-
they have the upward basketball program for basketball. there is a very active softball league. there is a soccer league i think based in orange. for volleyball, they have some summer camps...not sure about anything else. vidor just added a swim team to the high school and they have a youth swim team for the younger kids.
wow ...that's a new one on me. i've never heard of a high school not charging admission. even jr high sports events charge admission.
