Good luck anyway I guess iu would have to make things up if i were in desperate need as yall are.
Kinda curious to know which game you were at, Justme, since I was also at the game and can attest to Vidor's JV win. Furthermore, I even have it on video since my son was playing in that game. Perhaps you are the one in desperate need to "make things up".
I've seen people argue about who WILL win a game, and I've seen people argue about who SHOULD have won a game, but I've never seen people argue so much about who actually won it :) Anyway...Momma Pirate, if you could send a link to the video that would be greatly appreciated
They have to protect the ones that they get... :)
i believe they got plenty last year. i'm pretty sure vidor's jv went 10-1. their only loss was to png in a shootout with both teams scoring in the 50's.

koby clemens better start working on his right field techniques. it looks like the wallace kid just jumped in front of him.

Being involved in MANY All Star meetings, and selections let me clarify some things. 1) Yes! Coachs' sons will get preference, why? because daddy is out there working while you drop your kid off and head off to the mall until it is 30 minutes PAST the time you where supposed to be there to pick him/her up. 2) Yes! the men and women out there who bust their butts to keep the little league going doing things such as working on the fields, running the concession stands, managing the budget, yadda yadda yadda their kids will get preference as it should be. 3) NO! Even the special preference these parent get will alway get their child on the All Star team. 4)Yes! The All Star coach cares about the kids, I have done it, and let me tell you it hurts to have to bench or sub a kid that you know is a competitor and wants to be on the field. But ONLY 9 can be on the field at the same time. 5) Give it a try. Try running an All Star team and have to deal with people who you consider your friends sit in the stands during a practice and cut you to shreds because THEY could do it better. Or better yet the ones like All Sports Mom and FPHS who go in a public forum and whine and complain because they or their child gets treated unfairly.......Spend more time coaching and less time complaining....just my 2cents
I never said my child was treated unfairly... I as anyone else is entitled to an opinion & have spent my time coaching, working on the fields, in concession stands & all of the above... just my 2cents
i'm not sure why you're so surprised by the all-star selection process, when you've obviously been so involved with little league baseball for so many years.
i was at the game watching, when the play accoured that started all of this contaversy. ive had my fare share of run ins with umpires and even the jasper coaches in question. but the coaches were not wrong in this instance. in my opinion the jasper 2nd baseman did pick the ball clean. and when coaches put as much time and effort into a team as these two guys do. you expect umpires to get the calls correct.when an important game is on the line, it is easy to get caught up in the moment i agree, but for everyone that sais , no one should act this way in front of kids , remember this, in the front of the little league book is an "agenda" for lack of better words. that sais a main goal of l.l. is to teach kids to be winners....you do not become a winner by letting anyone bully over you, umpire, coach, who ever..now did the coach take it to far when he disobeyed the d.a. at the next game???? probably so , but i would have tried the same thing to watch my kid play!!!! no other reason than that...im sure he didnt do it just to be a rebel...but for his kid....and one more thing from a coaches perspective...at some point when things arent going your way, coaches will let umpires have it, just to show the parent, and the players that they are his #1 priority...hes doing everything he can to back his guys up...sorry if you dont like it when coaches get into it with blue..but you better get used to it because its part of baseball!!!!!!!!!
what a load!!! i can smell it from here.
Okay, but remember players go by their little league age not their actual age. I would guess the majority of the players are probably 15 playing as 14 year olds. Here is a question???? Why did they all have to get waivers if they were truly a senior team?
none of the kids playing on the b.c. senior all-star team are league age 14 or under. they are ALL league age 15 or 16. b.c., p.n., and p.a.a. decided this year to have junior teams for 13, 14, and 15 yr olds and not to field any regular season senior teams. they got a waiver to make all of the 15 yr olds a senior all-star team. the 15s can't play on the junior all-stars. i'm not sure why these leagues didn't have regular season senior teams. vidor chose to have regular season junior (only 13 and 14's) and regular season senior (only 15 and 16's) teams. b.c. also had to get "some sort" of waiver for one of the kids on the senior team because he lives and goes to school in vidor.
This sounds more like a coach who stands up for his team. His team seems to love & respect him. Thats all that matters. This seems to be a one sided story
if he cared about the team, he wouldn't have given up his chance to be coaching them in all-star games. coaches are expected to act like the adults they are.
port neches pony folded and became part of port neches little league for the 13-15 age group this year.

The boys that play for him LOVE & RESPECT him!!!!!He has helped take Jasper baseball 2 another level!!!!! Great job Coach!!!!!!!!
this is even more of a reason that he should act appropriately in public and obey little league rules. he should be setting an example for the kids on the team.

any updates on the meet at the orange natatorium on 06/26/10? hopefully the orange county swimmers had a better showing there. -

Revised District 12 Junior League All Stars
Seniors will be solid as usual. Pitching will not blow you away, but they will hit up and down the lineup and they will play good defense. I expect they will roll through district and then give fits to anyone at the sectional tourney.
Silsbee might have something to say about this. They are very solid. The kid that got the last spot on the team is being raised by a single mom and he was not on our "select" team. As a "fan" I'm sure you new that. Kinda shots down you arguement. As for your last post, I'm not going to respond because I don't know what your talking about.
if i remeber correctly, i think jm and ah were on the same team----------- please, name me one coach (or asst coach for that matter), whose child didnt make all-stars? and yes, alternates are all-stars and you dont know what I'm talking about? what, west end not following rules? heck, y'alls president doesnt even live in the boundaries! "Line up kids, say the LL pledge, then lie about where you live"---whats that teaching these children?
i probably shouldn't respond, but i will. alternates are NOT all-stars. players can't play in a game unless they are on the affidavit and are ok'd by the district. having alternates is just a way to ease the pain of not making the team and in case of injuries prior to the tournament. the little league i'm affiliated dropped the alternate business a couple of yrs ago, because of kids not understanding that they AREN'T going to get to play and getting upset. you don't have to have alternates to pick up a kid for an injury prior to the tournament. they just have to be added to the affidavit and be approved. and before you ask, no...i will not tell you which league i'm affiliated with because you seem to have the makeup of a possible stalker.

there is no way to make everyone happy at all-star selection time. it's impossible. many of the people complaining about "coaches sons" or "daddy ball" have the same issues as the "coaches" or "daddys". they believe their little jimmy is better than he really is. i've always been amazed at what people see and don't see in their children's abilities.
Speaking of bandwagoners, where were the tiger fans prior to Saban? Oh yeah, they were all wearing Florida State gear. Yes, it makes sense that this area has more Texas fans than LSU fans seeing how this is Texas. And LSU only parties better than Texas because it is normal and acceptable for people to be drunk and act like a bunch of JAs in Louisiana. ;D ;D Personally I'd prefer to hang out in Austin than go to the trash dump known as Baton Rouge.
hang out in austin? i heard the only thing they have there are steers and ...... nevermind. i'd definitely rather hang with some coonasses drinking beer and eating crawfish than some microbrew sipping crumpet eating shorthorns.

i believe the sec still had 5 teams advance to the super regionals...not too shabby.
the only two i can remember are smallwood and bolinger. they are both quick. there are some others that played that i can't remember. you'll definitely hear bolinger's name a lot on friday nights next yr. i don't think the backfield will be a problem. they just need the big nastys to be big and nasty.
