I find it hard to listen to a group of people say it's unreasonable to believe that someone would punch a cop for no reason while they're in the process of burning people's businesses for no reason.

Can't be the best catch ever when there was offensive interference. I guess no one in the world saw the WR throw Carr on the ground.

We're just trying to get setx up to speed with the rest of the state. Some of yall guys need to take a field trip to see the football facilities that some of these schools outside of setx have. I know a lot of yall say "we don't want em." How could you not want turf, an indoor, etc? Those things give you an upper hand on the competition. Dfw, East and West Texas are light years above this area when it comes to facilities. Ever heard the ole adage "Wins can be bought?"

For all you youngsters, Drew Pearson used to warm up on the sidelines catching the ball with one BARE hand. He ran perfect routes and caught the ball with two hands. Of course, back then, every play wasn't celebrated with a stupid dance and taunting. They were men.

The catch was amazing but let's not make him into some kind of god. Plus, they lost the game so it is very forgettable.

Where was the offensive pass interference?

On that sick TD catch by Backham why was there defensive pass interference when Backham clearly threw down the defender? On all the replays that's all you see is Backham throwing down a Dallas defender before that catch.

Cowboys never get the calls. Plus, Beckham was the one interfering on that catch.

I don't care what their ranked.. I said that because I believe they're better. HJ had a pretty rough time with an Orangefield team that everyone's been so high on all year...that turned out to be just another setx hero. That same team got it handed to them by this same LaGrange team just this week. LaGrange held Orangefield to 7 points and they run the same exact offense. And run it just as good. Plus the most recent good opponent HJ played they got beat by 3 scores.

That's what makes me say that.

help them do what? make better choices......their damn education is FREE...so why should we "give" them money, food etc...when they REJECTED our "help" of providing FREE education from K - 12 (which most won't even do that) then there's college, the poorer you are the freer it is....all about choices....some of us just feel there should be accountability and consequences for those bad choices - NOT rewards

Unfortunately this is a way of life for most inner-city schools.  I did not realize this completely until I started working at Alief Hastings.  Last year when we traveled to Aldine, we averaged about 10 fans and most of those were coaches' families.  This year we didn't have to travel as far, so we averaged about 20.  Some reasons behind this, (actual experience), : no vehicle - only travel by bus or cab; homeless; only parent working two jobs; no babysitter; living without a parent; parent just doesn't care (rather be doing other things).  The last one really bothers me but it is the smallest percentage of reasons (in my experience).  No matter what the reason, it is sad for the kids who bust their butt all year for the team. One game in Aldine last year, the coaches' families were the ONLY fans there.  They all sat through the rain and when the game was over, ALL of our players went to the stands and thanked them for supporting them.  Most of the wives and daughters either cried or tried really hard not to.

i can guarantee kashmere has way more help and athletes on their team then hamshire.King is an athlete who plays qb his real position is running back . The qb from kashmere looks like a qb who is athletic. Remember, mouse said he has receivers. hamshire has no receivers or at least they have never used them (no kids fault ) . Hell i heard after OF scored the first td last week hamshire drove down the field throwing the ball and scored then stopped throwing . I dont know why they dont throw the ball , but i think teams can throw on OF but that is my opinion we will see later on today and in the later playoff rounds .

Man, a team ALMOST beats you and you don't call it a scare. They COULD have very well beat you with that comeback. Yes, you were up by three TD's but not in the end. Then WOS doubles up on you and YOU SHOULD HAVE WON. Come on HJ fans, take off the rose colored glasses. HJISD must employ Obama's spin doctors.

Romo participated in practice Friday. If he's able to go, I say play him. Lets get the Win and go into the bye week on a positive note. Weeden has proven to be a backup QB in the league and thats it. RUN THE BALL!!! GO COWBOYS!!!

We would love to have him at OF at a running back position.

HJ is a good team, they will win a few games in the playoffs - beat WOS - they will NOT...

if, if, and if HJ would have stop the run and the pass and score more points then and only then they would have won.  

If you think Big Girl and her/sons experiences give her the right to generalize and not others, then you are part of the problem as well. AND, if you or Big Girl don't think we, the white man don't get comments or racial treatment, or the race card thrown at us then maybe it's ya'll who need to wake up.
 
No one, or at least in my circle claim that racism doesn't exist...in all directions. But it sure seems the white man is all to often the only ones that get blamed...mostly for stupid crap that happened way before most of alive today even existed.....no one denies terrible things went on in this country...and it always will...we must know and understand history - true, as the saying goes, so it won't repeat itself....however...let it go already...this country has better laws and consequences about discriminating than any other....that will never eliminate all racial crimes/actions/comments....but it is the best in the entire world......
 
I for one am also not a racist....I do however (I'm sure) come across as being very much so...why? Because I will not tolerate any cry baby, finger pointing, or insinuating that MY race (white) is any more racist then any other out there...and if I sense it, read it , or hear it...I will turn the tide and sound just as dumb to make a point.
 
Some say in these situations, I should take the high road, and let those who do that kind of stuff hang themselves......well, that approach hasn't worked....the PC world / media we live in today has allowed only the liberals / minority to have their say and continue to silence the conservatives and majorities in this country.......

You can't control what other people say about you, how they treat you, etc....what you can control is how you react to said treatment....take care of your own house before you even begin to speak of others....if you don't give them mud...they can't sling it at you.

It the lack of personal accountability and being responsible for fixing your own mess....and it's NOT just a Black thing...it's a "you owe me something society" thing...........

Again, I last saw a Huffman game in 1988 so attempting to bother me with Huffman talk will be to no avail. I have also stated that I am not here to make friends but I have made several. WOS is the best 4A team in SETX on a yearly basis. They are not one of the best teams in the state on a yearly basis. If you want me to say otherwise you will have to make it of the region. Attempting to compare yourself with Huffman, HJ, HF, OF is a smokescreen as you cannot compare yourself with the teams that have been identified previously in this thread.
 
Pounding your chest and taking pride about getting beat by Carthage, Coldspring, Navasota, Wimberly and everyone else does not make you a state power. There is a long list of teams that get by these superior programs each year. WOS is not a state power as proven by no championships since 1987 and only three trips out of the region since then. WOS was state power in the 80s. WOS is the best team in SETX and nothing more. I get that you hate it and that your dream never comes true and that you really want to be a state power. Fortunately you will have a chance coming up in a few weeks put me in my place and produce some results. 

10-4, Its good to be the best. I have a difficult time passing up foolish posts. I say positive things all the time. You just don't notice till someone treads on your perceived "hallowed ground". I am not a "WOS hater", I am a "non-biased football fan" viewing things outside of the SETX microcosm. In regards to the referenced post above: there is not ONE SINGLE PERSON IN THE STATE outside of the SETX world that thinks OF has ANY chance to beat LaMarque.     

I think most fans sell their tickets in order to make money.  There are people in the DFW area that could care less about going to football games.  They buy season tickets in order to sell them for a profit.  I for one, would never sell my season tickets unless I had too.  Then I would make sure that I sold them to a COWBOYS fan.  I would rather let the ticket go to waste then let an opposing teams fan buy it. 

I stand with HJ, seperation of church and state is INTENDED to mean no State run religious organization, i.e. The Church of England. It is not intended by our founding fathers that religion be excluded from schools, ten commandments taken out of government buildings, etc.. We are, have been, and hopefully will be ONE NATION UNDER GOD. Stop the political correctness. If ONE person gets offended we have to change the name of our sports teams and so on. It's time to make a stand and get back to our core values. As long as no child was being forced into this organization there should not be a problem with it.
