PNG v. Fort Bend Marshall (09/24/22 @ 12:00)
Separation Scientist replied to Rez's topic in High School Football
Punch em' in mouth, PNG! -
Let me clarify, please. I base what I said on playoff history. This district does not produce teams that go on deep runs. This district is usually gone after the 2nd round. EC made it further once but you have to realize they had Beaumont skill kid(s) playing for them. Take them away and that does not happen. Many district 10 teams lose out in the first round, and most are gone after the 2nd, even if they are 10-0 or 9-1 in the local district. I don't mean to hurt any ones feelings, its not my intent, but it is what it is. The good news for a Tark is you are not in district 9 or 12, or especially 11. Its much, much easier to compete in 10. My Tark friends are excited, and I too am glad to see Tark turning the corner!

Crosby (27) @ Barbers Hill (28) - FINAL

Thats exactly what happened. Like I said earlier, they dish it out, then they need to take it. -
Tarkington (40) @ Beaumont Kelly (21) - FINAL

Good for Tark! I knew improvement can happen a step at a time. Next 1-2 years should be fun to watch. Another good thing is, that this is not a "stacked district" at all. Actually its one of the weakest in the state. It does not take much to win this district. This means Tark can get on even footing quicker. Be glad you are in 10, because 9 and 12 are much tougher, and 11 might be the toughest district in the whole state (two defending State Champions live there). Good luck Tark! -
Whoosh. Completely flew over your head. You don't even know what it means. Its technical based. I would explain it to you but... (deleted) BTW it does not change the fact the country IS falling apart. Just look at the news. Here is one example: [Hidden Content]

[Hidden Content] I saw it on the Bally Sports show scroll. They really play football. Had to Google it, its real, LOL. Personally I think Jesus is tobacco free, LOL.

TRAP GAME is a perfect description. Thats exactly what I was calling it too. BH can beat LaPorte, but the challenge will be to get the team back grounded and focused for THIS week. I am sure the staff is well aware. I can see LaPorte busting out of the gates but BH bearing down and winning in the 2nd half, or something like that. A week at a time!

This nation is falling apart. Go figure.

Orangefield (7) @ Woodville (33) - FINAL
Separation Scientist replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
I thought Orangefield was going to bring some strength into the 3A district but apparently not. Looks like Anahuac is the only team that has something going on, but they might be a year or two away. -
Crosby (27) @ Barbers Hill (28) - FINAL

Its looks like about half their staff ran out led by one or two. I can't much tell who contacted who after that, but it sure looks like contact was made. I don't know any of their names. They should have just stayed on their sideline, controlling #10, or better yet just head off to the their locker room. That way there is no chance of any contact with any BH players. -

3-1 yes it does! Keep it rolling Tark! -
La Porte (27) @ Baytown Lee (20) FINAL

LaPorte is a formidable challenge for BH next week. BH needs to buckle up. -

Agreed. The past is the past and Absek came when he did. It would have been interesting to see what BH could have done if he had arrived 6 years ago instead of 1. But he was at CP and his kid was playing. Focus forward! -

Yes I re-watched it on line. No matter how much kids celebrate there was NO excuse for the Crosby coaching staff to run out on the field and make contact with BH players. NONE. I am surprised no repercussions are in the works for the Crosby staff. Their players conducted themselves pretty well until the Crosby coaches melted down. P ought to clue in, you dish it out? Then you need to take it like a man. -
Tell that to the mods.

Are you supposed to call people "retards"?

Bloodbath. -
Thanks. Thats appreciated. It was not aimed at you. I also support Crosby Softball (unless its vs. BH). I always try to support all neighbors and district mates.

I already said football is the most important sport, but not infinitely so. Look back and re-read. With that established, I'll spell it out for you again: You are W-R-O-N-G to say no one else cares about any other sports. When BH won State in Baseball and Softball in a two week span, I am sure some heads exploded.
-
There appeares to be significant discussion here by multiple posters, so, you are definitely wrong. I'll spell it out for you: You are W-R-O-N-G.,
-
Football DOES outweight other sports in TX, but not infinitely so. You have to factor in BH won STATE in two major sports the past two years. It was history making statewide for that to have happened at the larger 5A level.
-
Ever notice how the UIL comes down like a ton of bricks on this tiny school, and tiny Alto? Then they can't see what goes on in 5A and even more so in 6A???
