I'll take Carthage until prooven otherwise. No knock on KVille, but Champ is Champ until prooven otherwise. Besides, these two will not be in the same division if memory serves me correct. Won't find out on the field.
Unless they let all the players from those 2 teams come out and suit up again old trophies wont do anyone much good.
One thing that both teams have going for them is that all the returning players from last year had extra practice time over most teams they have played this year so far.
 2. Considering the last two times we played Crosby the finals were: 2010  38-7 PNG 2009  37-7 PNG I would say we matchup well against Crosby or they don't matchup well, whatever.

 4.
Keep them in front of you Indians. If you have to chase them down the field, it could be a long night. This should be another classic like last year, a real slug fest. Good luck to both teams, this is going to be one for the record books.....
I don't think it will be like last year. Last year was a defensive battle. I think this will be an offensive showdown. Should be fun to watch. And that JagUar halftime show comes to the Reservation! Gotta Luv It! Glad Cantue is OK. I would doubt he plays this week also. They have really tightened up on returning to action after head and neck injuries recently. He is a big part of that Central Defense and will be needed in the playoffs at full strength.

Oh yeah, because dressing in a deflated eagle costume and doing the running man is so much more appealing!  ;D

Or was it something else?
Disciplinary action on Heard according to the Beaumont Surprise
Thanks. I thought central had no "Discipline"!  :D Couldn't help myself.  ;D He sure made a difference late in the game. He was fresh!
 7.
If this is true tryin to be cocky or anything it could be a easy ride for Brenham just saying Angelton,PNG and Dayton arent that as good as they were last year.
If we get in, we will most likely be DI. Depends on Nederland vs LCM Friday night. LCM win and we go DI.

 9.
PNG comes back to earth and faces reality............Central by 17
I feel better now about our chances since LULUJUJU picked against us.  ;D
 10. I wont predict a W for the Indians, because I stopped predicting PNG games about mid season, but I will say that Vidor will not keep PNG under 14 points as one poster said. No one has done it yet, what makes anyone think Vidor will be the team to do it? As usual this year, this game will be a barn burner! Should be a lot of points on both sides of the board at nights end.
 11. You guys act like this is the first time Vidor has scheduled PNG for it's Homecoming. This would be the fourth time I have seen Vidors Homecoming halftime show in the past ten seasons! And each time the PNG side was filled before the Vidor fans began filling up their side.
 12.

I think Green Menace is saying the HS coaches don't have success when they go straight to being the head coach at the college level.  Didn't Notre Dame try this recently with a highly touted HS coach and that didn't work?  In hindsight, Dodge probably should have been hired as a OC first at the college level before being the head coach.
Well, then in that cast I agree with both of you. I just don't think Todd Dodge is a bad coach as he probably should have got his feet wet as a OC somewhere before taking on a Head Coaching position at a FBS level program.
Ala Art Briles! Got a good taste at Texas Tech after Stephenville before becoming HC. Of course most you of you may not be aware that Todd was an assistant at UNT in the mid 90's.
didnt set the world on fire before SLC,24-35 never finished above .500
Correct, but he took over really bad programs and was only at each of them for two years and they improved between year 1 and 2 at each stop. He also coached at Rockwall (State finalist) and McKinney (QFinals) as a QB coach and OC. The guy knows offense! He will be highly regaurded as an OC somewhere.
 13.
if nederland and central both lose this week ( just saying bear with me) and Png beats Vidor and the beats Central next week would png and central share the district championship ??????  I dont know if im right and thats quite unlilely but just maybe
Your Wrong! Nederland does not come into play in the DC scenario. Doesn't matter if they win or lose this weekend or next. If PNG beats Vidor and Lumberton beats Central...PNG and Central would play for a share of the DC in week 10. Livingston and LCM winner has a shot at a share as well. All others are out of the DC race.
 14.
Still think griffin is a run first quarterback?  Or "Pat White" like you would say.  If you do.........check out his stats this week.
You got alot of extra time on your hands! ::) OK I was wrong. Griffin is the greatest passing QB that the world has ever known and Pat White was total garbage as a QB. It had absolutely nothing at all to do with the offenses they ran!
 15. AJ25, while I agree with you, you have to realize that for several years on this forum there was a group of Lumberton fans that posted on every thread nothing but obnoxious dribble. Then they whinned about every Lumberton loss, and there were alot of 'em. Then they whinned at the start of each new season about Lumberton getting no respect, blah, blah, blah. Now more whining about referees costing them a game. Did the refs jump out to that 21-0 lead? PNG fans were happy that our defense was changed around and finally performed well against you guys and this is the junk that you guys (not you in particular) posted: Quote from: NAZERATH on October 09, 2010, 06:11:40 AM Even a blind squirrel can find a NUT every now and then! You win one game in District and now your the CHAMPS again. LOL!  You want get past Central or LCM! Well guess what, PNG prooved this guy wrong, not once, but twice so far (LTown and LCM). Lets hope his streak stays in tact! The irony in Nazareths post is that if we beat Vidor and you guys beat Central, the Central PNG game will be for the DC and Nazareths LTown boys will be 100% responsible! ;D
 16.
player 66, when did lumberton make excuses?
See below.
Pretty sure Lumberton people are not sore losers. You cant beat the team AND the referees. If they would have called the things on Nederland like all the holding and getting up and pushing Lumberton players down all the time Lumberton would have won.
When we played at Nederland they didn't not play their intro music (Metallicas "for whom the bell tolls"), which I love by the way, because we were playing Cherokee. Nor should they. It's there home field!!! So should we not play Cherokee because Lumberton might enter the field at the same time and play their fight song? WOW.
 17. Must be 2326 for Cooper. Didn't they have a short stint in 4A recently?? maybe I'm wrong.
 18.
Southlake Carroll was good before Dodge arrived and has been good since he left.  You don't have to recruit talent in high school, for the most part it's there or it's not.  I think North Texas misjudged how well Dodge would do as a college coach based on that.
Wrong! Southlake was great under Ledbetter. They ran one of the Bone offenses backe then in 2A and 3A. They moved up to 4A and didn't have the same success. Made the playoffs a few times, but not deep runs. Dodge got the job, changed the offense and they blew up as they moved up to 5A. Since he left they have been good, but not great. No deep playoff runs. There is no doubt Dodge had big troubles at UNT, but one thing was for sure, his offenses were still good. Go back and look. UNT scored alot, but they couldn't stop anyone! This is where Todd failed. He never really got a DC or the defensive recruits needed to be successful. I'd take him in a heartbeat as the OC at my favorite school, be it college or HS.
 19. Terror and I finally agree on something...Proof is in the results, the West has been the better division top to bottom. The East has had some good teams at the very top, but the West has been tuff up and down! I think the big story this year will be how the Bearkats will be without the top coach in the conference?
 20. Cooper will be DI and Abilene will be DII
 21. Grad you have Nederland at 1-4, should be 2-3
 22. None!
 23. The voice of several generations! I thought about how professional he was as the PA announcer for PNG football all those years this past Saturday night during the Ozen game. Those that were there know what I mean. A Great Ambassador for all things PNG. He has been and will continue to be missed. I pray for the Durham family. "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez!!"
 24.

crosby vs gcm crosby fresh red won 50-30
I just want to say those QB/RB are some players.  They did a great job.  But why does he slide at the end of plays.  There in the 4th quarter, the QB was sliding down or running out bounds and not finishing plays.  Again i want to say great job, i thought it was a good game.  I was just wondering if that he was coached to do that or just prefered.  I look forward some more match ups.
Up late by 3 tds. Sounds like a good move to me. What sense would it make to risk an injury to your QB late in a blowout?
 25. The teams we have lost to are a combined 20-8. Remove the big rivalry game and the three remaining losses combined record is 18-3! Of course none of this matters come tonight at 7:30. Again I predict the last team to score wins! If you like offense be at The Reservation for a showdown of two great offenses.
