  1. Those apartments up front at Bent Tree have been PNG since they were built in late 80’s and way before Memorial was even alive. I lived there my sophomore year and went to PNG. Kids i knew there on the other side went to PA.
  2. Right! So Aledo Texas, a town of roughly 5,000 has some of the best homegrown football players in the state year in and year out for 15-20 years. OK. Facts are kids transfer to Aledo from greater FW all the time and it is clearly for athletic purposes but they never have to sit out as the rules would suggest with a transfer for athletic purposes. So I will recant the recruiting statement and say get to play one of those DFW area Transfer Portal juggernauts for which there is plenty of evidence. PA and PNG are not open enrollment and are working without year to year transfers that don’t live in the district. Which to me makes their recent successes more interesting.
  3. I think PAM folks have been agitated over the fact that they beat PNG both years that PNG went to the title game and they didn’t. They poke at PNG fans about PNG not scheduling PAM again and some purple folk can’t take it and say stupid schlitz, but I think most of us would love to play them again if it means another trip to State 🤣. PAM has the speed that SOC has so getting an early game with them probably helped PNG when they got to the SOC matchups. Good Luck to Memorial. They should make it to the title. Then they will find out what it’s like facing one of those DFW recruiting teams in Aledo. And I will be cheering for the Titans in that matchup.
  4. And this was an obvious slap to the face (bottom right #4 slaps #35). [Hidden Content] Neither play was what I would call good sportsmanship.
  5. NCAA Horns down, Gator chop, etc. at a player or opponent sideline is 15 yards. Reason is to keep “KIDS” or young men in case of NCAA from retaliation and causing a melee on field. Tomahawk chop at PNG sideline and at PNG players was regular last night. No place for it in the game. Same as kicking an opponent. Shoulda been flagged, Same as the punch to the head (also on video as I saw it on the broadcast), shoulda been flagged. Guarantee #75 will be dealt with by JJ and it won’t happen again as he is a Jr. Officials must do better across the board to nip it all in the bud early in game. I love when these teams play but I can say that leaving AT&T after 2022 and 2023 was the only time I have ever had opposing fans cuss me as a PNG fan totally unprovoked. We just ignored them and moved on. Was not there last night but in 2024 we were on opposite sides of stadium so no issues. And I don’t care where you’re from, Oak Cliff Texas, Port Neches or Groves Texas, kids need to be held accountable by their parents for their actions in public. All can DO BETTER!
  6. It’s not a SOC issue, they just exploit it better than the rest of the DISD population and flaunt it on the helmets as the mecca of DISD sports. Kuddos to Coach Todd in that regard. The problem is a UIL issue. They make private schools play up in 6A no matter their enrollment if they want to play in UIL because of what they deem to be an unfair recruiting advantage due to the fact that private schools are open enrollment to anyone. So why are open enrollment public schools not being held to the same standard? In the end I like the SOC/PNG matchups, I just think they should be at AT&T each year. We have no business being in R2.
  7. Hadn’t really thought about that much but yes. Maybe a better passer though and faster in open field. Word is the Freshman QB is a gunslinger (can we still use that term or is it no longer PC 🤣).
  8. Great revenge win last night Stangs. Give ‘em hell next week and represent the 409 the way you guys always have over there. From one NDN fan rooting on WOS.
  9. Yep. Ashworth brings a different element and we saw that last night in several runs. Bailey probably throws to the guy short of the end zone on the int versus into double coverage into the end-zone on the one INT, but we don’t get down there without Ashworths legs so kinda a catch 22. I for one am excited to see Ashworths dual threat after another off season of prep in passing game. That said Conner Bailey should never have to pay for beer at the Axe (once he turns 21 of course) 🤣
  10. SOC - Randle will be another classic. Maybe 2026 SOC - PNG will be back at Jerry World where it belongs 😉
  11. So, after losing the title in 2023 to 4 PNG fgs and that late td…SOC went out and recruited a kicker 🤣
  12. Always have!
  13. Vandegrift was 6A D2 State Champ last year so not as big a surprise as you might think. Beat SLC at Jerry World.
  14. He play Defense?
  15. RB or no RB Daytons problem is clearly it’s D. giving up 50+ in back to back games versus teams that struggle to score!
  16. I assume by Freely you meant big soph OL 75 Ace Reeves. 😂
  17. No. If LH had any say in realignment then they sure as hell would not have put themselves in Reg 3! They had a cake walk in Reg 4.
  18. Or Alamodome. Would be about same travel for both.
  19. Good call…UIL never took into consideration the lack of stadiums in East Tx when placing Dist 8 in R2. Waco District could meet the rest of R2 in DFW area each week where there are plenty of venues.
  20. Earlier start and closer than half our district games. Our other sports travel to HVille, Montgomery and New Caney for 7pm games on Tuesdays so…
  21. Actually SA\Dal\Hou. All three have domed stadiums. Rotate.
  22. I see whatcha did there….lol
  23. Weunschel at wildcat has been a long time coming. Stop him with 10 guys blocking in front of him…dare ya.
