Only Huffman and Livingston would be in that football district if they chose to opt up. Splendora is going 5A and Hamshire-Fannett is in the 4A DII football district with those two teams.
If they stay in the same other sports districts in this next realignment, they wouldn't be with Bridge City, LC-M, Lumberton and Vidor. They would still have to schedule different middle schools and sub varsity for other sports.

Where I work has nothing to do with this, and I didn't think this was a right or wrong situation. It doesn't affect me in anyway. Schools across the state have opted up for years. 

I'm called biased for my PNG background and now HJ lol. My parents went to TJ. Grandparents to Hemphill and Orange. So let's throw some more in there haha. We'll leave out the cousins a HF, Bridge City, etc. 

If UIL allows that to happen it will start an epidemic of teams opting up to avoid certain districts.

So BC and Smalley are bringing another slot-T team to the district and Hiawatha wants to opt up ? 😬

What if it’s Silsbee and WOS to avoid that Carthage, Gilmer, PG, Cuero? 👀👀

Maybe teams are tired of having no chance to win a State Championship because all roads end at Carthage.

Well the Qb grandfather was an all American and his dad was a great athlete hopefully the apple don't fall to far from the tree and the young man can pick up a win

I will some-what agree.  Any sport, except football, you have to have the talent.  Basketball, track, baseball golf,  on that, I'll agree.

Nope they sure have not. Also, Vidor has not had multiple D1 players in the past 24 years, and yes you are 110% Jeff Mathews is a great man and a good HC! He got the most out the players he had to work with, but with you leading the ship, I’m POSITIVE you’ll bring many, many, many championships to Vidor.

Anyone that thinks that way is an idiot & doesn’t understand what Coach Mathews has done. 

I’m sure the application, hiring process will be lengthy with all the head coaches on here that will be applying. 

You must have saw different Vidor kids on the field than me. I think there is a significant difference in the speed and size of the PNG kids vs the Vidor kids. I agree they could learn to throw and catch, but are they going to out run people in open space or be able to block in the interior one on one being outsized?

Yet another response saying "everyone who has an issue with officials should become one." It's quite a silly suggestion. Some probably have an issue with the window person at McDonald's getting their order wrong all the time. Does that mean they should go work part-time at McDonald's to correct the issue? Maybe a part-time gig at Academy because you can never get help there when needed? How about going to work at your local grocery store part-time because the check out lines are slow?
