Ok, I'm going to bring these beliefs full circle:  Let's say you have the opportunity to choose the next coach of any school.  One of the applicants states:  I'm not a very good coach.  Will more than likely have a losing record, possibly 0-10, every year.   No State Titles for sure!  Despite all this,  the coach says:   But I'll be a good influence on the kids and for sure make an impact.  Would you put your reputation on the line and hire this individual?

You sound like you may be the one who told Carthage "NO" to Surratt a few years back.

And then you got -- Majestyk, that finally gets it!!  Congratulaions!!

OH, and BTW -- under your old philosophy -- you would not have hired Lombardi, Saban or Surratt.

Oh no cuz, those football gurus are legendary and I still seek a handshake and a autograph.  The last list I can remember with me on it read like...... You got Eastwood, you got Norris, you got Van Damme, you got Majestyk,  you got Stallone, you got Seagal.

    TOBY FOREMAN
    9 years; 42-52-0; 6-1-0    (Losing Record!)

    2013  Beaumont Central       6-5-0 T
    2014  Beaumont Central       7-4-0 C
    2015  Beaumont Central       5-6-0 T
    2016  Beaumont Central       5-6-0 F
    2017  Killeen Shoemaker     0-10-0
    2018  Killeen Shoemaker      2-8-0
    2019  Killeen Shoemaker      7-4-0 T
    2020  Killeen Shoemaker      7-3-0 R
    2021  Killeen Shoemaker      3-6-0

No State Titles!  9 years should be long enough to win one!

Attention all head football coaches who have coached for at least nine years and has not won a state championship.  You are fired. There are no excuses.  See Reagan for your severance and kicked to the curb packages.

No, unfortuately for them, none of the above.  But, I would tell you that if I had any say-so -- an individual with a losing record would not be considered.  Plus, I took a bath Saturday and I smell pretty good!  LOL!!!!

Sorry I meant nothing against your personal hygiene cuz I don't have a clue, I mean you could smell like a sycamore blueberry cactus I wouldn't know, just trying to get my expert opinion across.

I sure do,been here my entire life

Then you either stayed drunk or watched too much Nutflix.  WOS has changed coaches twice in 44 years  and considered by most to be relevant.  I don't look for that to change.   As far as the BS goes and people exiting stage north...BYE...they're not cut from Mustang fabric anyway.   Let those folk sop them up like gravy with a biscuit and deal with em in their strife for relevancy.

Good points. Please try to ignore the the riffraff who always has negative comments about our players, and community especially when they are not Silver and Blue.😉

And make no mistake, that element is out there whether it stems from jealousy of WOS success, tired of hearing about WOS or maybe their team has never ever beaten WOS, who knows? Who cares?

  7. Whatever happens they need to keep the system in place. Over the years my buddy Mavis (RIP my friend) was involved with the youth programs and he would always keep me informed of the upcoming teams and players to watch for.  He'd say watch out we got one coming and I would say how old is he? Mave told me oh, he's in the fifth grade.  Sure enough there he came or there came those teams. These kids are evidently groomed early to be Mustangs.  I'm confident the new HC will be another good one.

Unfortunately for a coach, you can’t run away from your record.  Especially a losing record.  Coach T spent  year at Palestine.  Not long enough to establish anything.  You hire someone with a losing record don’t be surprised at what you get.  Can a coach you hire win the State Championship.  That ought to be the measuring stick.

    Yes, he can.

I'm just saying... a program and fanbase that states they love and care of Foreman...  he even stated how much he loves Orange and the program himself...  But they went with a coach that was at the time 61 years old over a young, firey and enthusiastic young Coach in Toby.  They didn't think much of him back then.  Just saying, Since he is in a way better situation now, I figured the logical thing to do would be to stay put.  But I guess it's good to have a short memory or easily forgive.  To each their own.

Forgive what?  I don't think Toby moped around whining about Coach T getting the job nor does WOS need to be forgiven for promoting a coach with over 40 years in the system who took them to at least the region finals 10 of his 11 years. I'm thinking Toby will be on the short list of quality coaches.
