I don't think so, it is and will continue to be good job. The applicant pool will still be deep.
Coaches won't stick their neck out to apply for a job that was most recently awarded to a guy running a pipe yard.

Dayton wins this matchup and shuts up 2wedge, I shouldn't even entertain this, but geez.
I wish Dayton the best, but I fear this is the end. There are no Stewarts walking through that door.

Splendora wins this one and begins the end of the Nations era in Dayton.

There is such a different feeling surrounding this game this year compared to last year. Two communities that are trying to get back on their feet needing a 3 hour respite from the work and worry.

Perfect strategy for HD:
Begin the game by throwing several basketballs out on the field before kickoff. Joubert and his team will get confused and line up in a 2-3 zone rather than a 4-3 defense. This will allow HD to score quickly and take advantage of the situation, possibly giving them an edge. Genius!

No pun intended I'm sure.
But, you are dead on right. There will be a serious influx of talent in the coming years, especially parents with junior High age kids who want their kids to grow up in a structured, successful program.
Absolutely no pun intended. Heck, I have to admit that I have given thought to moving my boys. I can get to work from anywhere! lol

Done! You heard it hear first, folks. The Mecca of football is now Mont Belvieu, TX.
(Btw, I agree that BH is progressing well. Just giving you a hard time.)
LOL!!! I'm just having some fun. Glad to see that some of us on here can jibber jabber and still keep it light hearted! In all seriousness though, with their facilities, funding, and big time coaching hires, BH will soon begin to turn the tide. I truly believe that the flood gates will open and kids will begin to come from all around to be a part of the program. A lot like we see with Aledo and the likes in DFW. BH is the only school in our area that resembled DFW in that way.

"We have options."
Can we shift the label of Mecca to Mont Belvieu now?
It probably won't be long until we can do that. The BH program in on an upward trajectory and I except to hear about more and more "move ins" from Baytown and the surround areas over the next several years.

Joubert is a hell of a coach and does the best with what he is given. I can promise you his mind is on Friday night.
I am not sure I agree with all of that. I was sure that Joubert would get interest up and get the athletes out for Friday night football in Kountze. Seems like that hasn't happened and the experiment has turned sour. It's time for him to make a full time return to the hardwood and get a football coach hired there in Kountze.

Really ?
i don't think he is getting on here anymore, but if you really want to know, I could set up a meeting with you two.
I loved it when Tony Dallas would interact with everyone here last season. It made it that much easier to root for Jack because of his dad!

Did I ask the question the wrong way? Lots of fathers are on here and are very vocal about who their children are. Why would I need a meeting to know which Cougar was his son? I don't think that's anything he would be intentionally trying to hide.

Any idea who his son is?

This is great. I'd like to see several other entries with that allow other school's coaches wives to participate. This could be a weekly segment that ends up being anticipated by the readers! Good job BE!!

Thank God for Silsbee and Nederland being willing to play WOS. I hate that it took a hurricane to create situation where these other GT schools would be willing to play WOS. Our area is too good to have our top tier teams traveling hours for games.

This article is circulated every year and I am never really sure why. Maybe Danny can shed some light.

I really don't think that athleticism will be the determining factor in this game. This game will be decided on carrying out a game plan, making adjustments during the game, disciplined defense and execution. The team that does what they are coached to do the most consistently will win this one.
So coaching.....So Rio vs Westerberg......I'll take TW as of now due to experience. I think Rio might match him some day but that day is not today.

BHFan, this site is about a bunch of average/mediocre to below average team's fan bases needing somewhere for their opinions to be validated. I'm not in the business of doing that or giving credit where it's not due just to seem "classy". This entire site does that even though the vast majority of these teams are considered a joke to the rest of the state. In my opinion if Crosby is considered average and you haven't done what we've done lately or can beat us I have every right to say "you suck" using those parameters. Like I said earlier though, I don't have any tampons for the bleeding that happens after.
I currently have a son on the team and will most likely be moving to North Shore after he graduates so my younger sons can participate in their sports programs. Some of our coaches and administrators read this and I would never want to say anything that puts him in a gray area. It's very hard for me not to do that with some of the asinine comments on here which is why it's safer just to stay off next couple of years until that happens. Since some of the upper management at my job has kids that play for other teams and read this I'm also kind of worried that they might feel the same way as other people on the site and effect my career at work. It has nothing to do with the Jasper fans or any other particular fans, you know I would love to be talking trash to y'all and pulling out stats. It's pretty much the reason I cut back this summer after one of the bosses who's from Dayton approached me asking me questions about something I said regarding Nations. It's just too much sensitivity here.
I'm sure you probably wanted a little more than that from me to really get what's probably andostrict championship game thread going but you're going to have to settle for the, "You're great. . . Nah, you're great" comments and the perceived limited interest. I'm sure DC's will write it up so you have something else there. Figured I would at least give a more detailed explanation though. Hope y'all have a good season and we meet y'all in the regional finals. Ok, NOW I'm done.
*Mods: y'all can go ahead and delete my account so I'm not tempted to get back on here after our 4th consecutive district championship and be "classless" to other programs. It's been a blast.
In all seriousness, if you are truly getting pressure from your supervision at work based on your high school football allegiance then that is pitiful. Whoever those guys are need to get a life.
Secondly, it's interesting to me that you plan to move your younger son to North Shore to participate in their sports programs. I'm pretty sure that's against UIL rules and you might want to slow down with stating your intentions so openly on a internet forum, but I will assume that never becomes an issue. Are you saying that you are not totally happy in Crosby? Or are you, like me, of the opinion that in the next year or so Coach Rio will begin to look for bigger and better opportunities than Crosby? Maybe DFW jobs?

This is truly the best site on the internet for Texas High School Football. I have sat here for the past 4 hours and used this site to stay caught up all across the area and it was awesome. Thanks to everyone who keeps this thing running!
Silsbee # 23 cheap hit on Jasper QB
in High School Football

The bigger question surrounds the culture in Silsbee. It seems that every year there is something like this that happens within that athletic program. Jasper fight, LCM fight, this situation.....what's going on over there and how did it get like this?
