Halftime Silsbee - 35 HJ - 18 Missed easy shots are killing Silsbee. Hawks offense really struggled in the 2nd half. Dunk count 2 - 0 Tigers. -

End of the 1st Tigers - 19 Hawks - 12 HJ not playing bad. Tigers have missed a few easy shots though. -

Teams are warming up. Lady Tigers lost by, I think, 13. Was a tale of two halves. Third quarter really did them in 😢 -
Silsbee vs HJ Bi district round

You never want to be overconfident in the playoffs, but the Tigers take this one by 20. I'd be surprised if this turns out like Silsbee's district games. HJ's coach will get everything he can out of his players to make this a ballgame. Tigers probably go 1-1 on the night. Would like to be wrong about that though. -

Will be a double header at the Montage Center on Tuesday. Time has yet to be decided. -

Silsbee girls won. I assume the HJ girls will probably win if they haven't already. A double header is perfectly doable now. -
Some old games here. Some schools aren't around anymore like TJ and Lincoln. Obviously the quality is what it is. [Hidden Content]

The Silsbee/Jacksonville game can be seen on Youtube tonight. -

What crazy is this Silsbee bunch could have had a lot more size and depth if all the kids from the class of 24 had stayed committed to basketball. A few kids didn't play past their freshman and sophomore years. Speaking of not playing, they got a freshman now that looks to be pushing 6'6. Not playing basketball though. -

Lumberton (or Kountze) are nearly home games for Silsbee. Doubt that ever happens. It should be at West Brook, but I don't think they want to host a playoff game. May as well get ready for East Chambers. -

West Brook makes the most sense location wise if it's Silsbee/HJ. That means the game will be played in East Chambers. -

Harris could of had double digit dunk numbers tonight if he'd played enough. Surely that would have been a record. -
Silsbee 112 West Orange-Stark 55/FINAL

I believe every male in Peyton's family has been inbetween 6'4 and 6'7. If he can grow anything close to that, he could nearly carry the team by himself next year. Right now his size hurts him a little at times when finishing at the rim in traffic. -
If Silsbee doesn't get more physical in the trenches, they could get rolled playing a former 6A school like West Brook. You can joke about WB not winning any games last year, but it doesn't matter if a team can just walk right over you. Losing Horton certainly isn't going to help them in that department. A 4 - 6 or 5 - 5 record wouldn't surprise me.

Apparently you have to use this to get into the game now. Heard it wasn't working earlier. [Hidden Content] No idea if they have cameras in the new gym or not. -
Jones finished with 9 three pointers and I believe 31 points. Had a tenth one that went all the way in and back out before the bench came in.

You know it's bad when even the starters are out there free styling for portions of the game. That and not playing defense 🤷♂️

5A now. Don't know if it's because they're a special case (so to speak) or enrollment went up that much. Also interesting to note is Dallas Kimball is 4A now. -

No more 4A for Faith Family after this. -
Silsbee 100 Lumberton 49/FINAL
Tigers94 replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Silsbee's gonna need about 4 or 5 kids that's currently on JV to step up next year. I'm fairly confident in about 2 or 3 of them being able to do that, namely Adams and Cartwright. The 8th graders have been looking pretty good towards the end of this season. Wasn't impressed with them early on, but it looks like there's some hope there now. -

Jasper get some of their players back or something? That's quite a different score from West Orange putting 100 on them in the first game. -

Isn't Fort Bend Clements in the same region as well? Lots of Olajuwon dna on that team to deal with. BU still has a good trio with Davis/Dotson/Payia. Lots of teams wish they had that. They still got a shot. -

Considering the recent bond failure, I wouldn't look forward to anything like this in Silsbee anytime soon. They need a new middle school first and foremost. -
I just hope this snooze fest of a district doesn't have a negative impact on the Tigers come playoff time.
