Had the pleasure of being on a teaching and coaching staff for 3 years with Todd. Simply stated, in my 25 plus years in education, there is not a person I respected more.  God Bless his family. 

If I read things correctly the Michigan AD is on the committee. How will he try to influence things?

Maybe nothing at all and simply vote. 

Maybe try to push for the final 2 teams that matchup better for Michigan.

Maybe, my guess if he influences anything at all. is trying to push for the best on paper first round matchup.

I see signs for it all week on I69 by the George R Brown and have a few students doing an internship with a college sports management program. It's a really neat experience for them.

Good FCS game in the final 8 minutes on the duece. 6 of 7 (#6 Montana State lost to traditional powerhouse North Dakota State in overtime) top 8 seeds have won today with the number 4 seed playing in the present game.

Forget the conference comparisons for a moment.  The fact that 2 conferences with so much overlapping and close proximity only plays 10 games against each other with a combined 28 schools is just sad. 

If FSU gets in, can Jimbo be an honorary captain for the semi-final game?

If, yes a useless if U of L had won they could have actually made this easy on the committee. Your statement of the 2 that were not champions would have likely set up the perfect scenario to tell the public. Now, they have to explain away the perfect record of FSU if that is in fact the team left out with the University of California at Austin and Alabama being the final 2.

Next part depends on whether the committee wants the best teams right now (Bama and Texas) or the teams with the best resume (undefeated FSU and Texas with a double digit win in Tuscaloosa). 

You very well may be describing how the committee does this. Who do "we" eliminate first?

If this was next year it would be interesting to see the 3 of these that would have to play in round 1. You going from arguing you are a top 4 seed to facing someone the likes of the MWC champ and hoping you can keep players focused.

Someone else would need to provide an answer. Last night was my first PNG game since the '99 state title game and I have no connection to the school. 

That is the old Rangers stadium.  It hosts multiple high school games. Now called Choctaw Stadium.

Sat on Huntsville side as I mentioned in a few post. To say it was thin in number would be an understatement. Would take someone that sat on the PNG side to "guesstimate" how many section they could have filled.  Each section seats around 800.
