If I read things correctly the Michigan AD is on the committee. How will he try to influence things?
Maybe nothing at all and simply vote.
Maybe try to push for the final 2 teams that matchup better for Michigan.
Maybe, my guess if he influences anything at all. is trying to push for the best on paper first round matchup.
Hey, Jim, who you want in round 1? I'll do my best. Thank you, Bud.

Guys, it’s between FSU and Bama for the last spot. That’s the discussion in Grapevine right now. And that’s not me saying it’s right or wrong. But I believe that’s the reality.
Who is the 3rd?

2 FCS games went to OT today. Most others were blow outs.

Committee is in a no win situation. The National Title game is in Texas btw if that matters….
I see signs for it all week on I69 by the George R Brown and have a few students doing an internship with a college sports management program. It's a really neat experience for them.

Yep and my old butt should be in bed!

Good FCS game in the final 8 minutes on the duece. 6 of 7 (#6 Montana State lost to traditional powerhouse North Dakota State in overtime) top 8 seeds have won today with the number 4 seed playing in the present game.

Ohio State can beat any team in the country and would be favored by 14 over FSU. No one is talking about them.
I want FSU and Ohio State, just to hear the complaining.

Big 12 is definitely better than the ACC. The same ACC that won 6 of 10 games against the SEC this season. Maybe every team and conference is bad.
Forget the conference comparisons for a moment. The fact that 2 conferences with so much overlapping and close proximity only plays 10 games against each other with a combined 28 schools is just sad.

If FSU gets in, can Jimbo be an honorary captain for the semi-final game?

The team that Texas beat today to win the Big 12 lost to UCF by 42 points and South Alabama by 26. How much weight is that conference title since they didn’t have to play Oklahoma? How bad was that conference?
Michigan and Washington and argue. I repeat.

If it’s up to me I’m leaving FSU out. That offense does not belong anywhere near the playoff.
If, yes a useless if U of L had won they could have actually made this easy on the committee. Your statement of the 2 that were not champions would have likely set up the perfect scenario to tell the public. Now, they have to explain away the perfect record of FSU if that is in fact the team left out with the University of California at Austin and Alabama being the final 2.

Georgia and Ohio State are out since they’re not conference champs.
Next part depends on whether the committee wants the best teams right now (Bama and Texas) or the teams with the best resume (undefeated FSU and Texas with a double digit win in Tuscaloosa).
You very well may be describing how the committee does this. Who do "we" eliminate first?

It's simple.
Michigan and Washington.
Then have Bama, Georgia, FSU and tu AD's have a battle royal for the other two spots.
Bama AD looks young (52) but small. The other 3 will get winded quickly.

Pick 2
FSU 13-0 ACC Champ
Alabama 12-1 SEC Champ
Texas 12-1 Big 12 Champ
Georgia 12-1
Ohio State 11-1
If this was next year it would be interesting to see the 3 of these that would have to play in round 1. You going from arguing you are a top 4 seed to facing someone the likes of the MWC champ and hoping you can keep players focused.

Michigan and Washington and argue. ????

Is it 9:00 yet? Maybe the 1 FCS playoff game being televised will be worth watching. Just an idiots hope.

Florida State has 1 yard total offense. Louisville has 11.
If ESPN gametracker is accurate. 35 total yards COMBINED in the 1st half.
Yuck!

Shouldn’t the Berry Center be fine?
Someone else would need to provide an answer. Last night was my first PNG game since the '99 state title game and I have no connection to the school.

That is the old Rangers stadium. It hosts multiple high school games. Now called Choctaw Stadium.

What was the capacity of the CE King stadium? PNG did not fill the home side for the Lake Creek game. A good amount of open seats on the top corner areas.
10,000. 6000 home 4000 visitor.

So, I wonder if the total attendance was 10K. It seemed to be at least 3 to 1 PNG fans. Maybe it was more. Not sure.
Sat on Huntsville side as I mentioned in a few post. To say it was thin in number would be an understatement. Would take someone that sat on the PNG side to "guesstimate" how many section they could have filled. Each section seats around 800.
