Very true because it is not good for survival to shoot second.

baddog reacted to Hagar in Feds Detain Reporters Investigating Open Borders
On the take, or his families lives may have been threatened. When Hillary is involved, morals don't come into play. Nothing is sacred. I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn she has a 666 birthmark somewhere on her.

baddog reacted to bullets13 in TVC,opinions on this?
The whole facts of this case have yet to come out, but if you think race, rather than the circumstances of the two scenarios, dictated officer reactions and responses, I don't know what to tell you. There's a major difference between a guy who's obviously making a scene as an activist (while LEGALLY carrying a gun) in a documentary, versus a guy pointing a pistol at and threatening someone. Common sense would dictate that officers would handle the situations differently. They have no reason or legal authority to disarm or detain the protester, even if he was being a moron. They have every reason to disarm the man who was pointing his weapon at and threatening people. This guy was no activist. Not only was a he a felon, with no legal right to a gun, he had threatened somebody's life with his gun moments before, which is why the police were called in the first place. There's a HUGE difference between the two incidents you're comparing, and it isn't skin color.

baddog reacted to Englebert in Favorite Country Song
I have every one of these songs...and I'm not even a big Country fan.
Speaking of Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine, my favorite song by Tom T. Hall is "I Like Beer".
Speaking of "Up Against The Wall Redneck Mother", I saw Jerry Jeff Walker in Austin about 15-20 years ago. Two weeks later, I saw Ray Wylie Hubbard (the song writer) perform in the same club.
16 Tons was not written or even originated by Tennessee Ernie Ford. It was written and gained popularity in the mid 1940s by Merle Travis. Bo Diddley has a pretty good version of it also.
Speaking of Wichita Lineman, did you know Glen Campbell got his start as a session musician with the Wrecking Crew. The Wrecking Crew were studio musicians in California that played with all the big names, particularly the Beach Boys. When Brian Wilson decided to quit touring (during the middle of a tour), Glen Campbell was hired as his replacement for the remainder of the tour.
One more. A few years ago I saw a young black girl wearing a T-Shirt that said "Mama Tried" on the front. I was joking around and asked "Are you a Merle Haggard fan?" She obviously didn't know what I was referring to, and jokingly replied, "It's a black thing, you wouldn't understand." I said "Do you know that is a song from the 1960s by Merle Haggard?" She whole-heartedly disagreed. I don't know if she ever found out that she was wearing a ripped-off title.
Damn, I better get back to work. Thanks for letting me daydream for a little while.

baddog reacted to Englebert in Shouldn't Lynch Recuse
Many were marked Classified, and some were marked with the highest Top Secret classification at the time received/sent.
Does it not bother you that a person who is charged with marking documents as classified, and has completed a training course in document classification, doesn't possess the skill set to identify classified material when she sees it? That's like an assistant coach posting the team's playbook online. When question, he says he didn't know it was secret. Then says he is applying for the head coach position.

Yeah, "Crazy" by Patsy gets a lot of jukebox play. All the artists back then envied her voice. Too bad she got killed. Lots of good songs left in her.
I like "For the Good Times" by Ray Price.

Personally, I believe that even a charge of negligence, even without the "criminal" charge, to be enough to forbid anyone from holding public office. If Hillary cannot be trusted with "TOP SECRET" information, how can anyone trust her with anything less? That's what some view as persidential material? My God, where has common sense gone from these folks?

Didn't really think that anything would happen to the Teflon Clintons. Just another chapter in the book on the worst administration the US has ever witnessed.

Never in the Republican Party? The Party that led the nation to free slaves? The Party that had the first black Sec of State? The same Party that appointed the only black on the Supreme Court? I don't personally know a Republican who wouldn't vote for Allen West for President.
It's not the color of the man in the fight, it's the amount of patriotism in the man (or woman).

I'm getting an attitude like Elliott Ness' towards the Chicago mob......let them kill each other. Gee, I hope that offends.

They can't tell the bad ones from the good ones. They all look alike. Just like the Vietcong.

I have lost all respect for the FBI. They make a mockery of justice.

baddog got a reaction from Long Tall Texan in Red Cross Apology for Racist Pool Poster
I'm sick of everything coming down to race. Would you like for me to be childish when I see my race portrayed as inferior? Ok. The Nationwide Insurance commercials depict white people dancing around in the yard throwing sacks of white powder in the air, trimming trees, changing oit,.....anything to kep from calling their insurance company, while the cool, calm, and collected black couple is watching the heathens perform during thier siteown with their insurance agent. Switch the roles and you have lawsuits.

We have a lot of people out there, whose job it is to protect us, that have such lackadaisical attitudes when it comes to terrorism. If I were Mr. Johnson, I would be so concerned by what Mr. Cruz was telling me, I would promise him that heads would roll. Then, I would fire myself for being an incompetent fool.

baddog got a reaction from UTfanatic in Durant to Golden State
GS lost 9 regular season games this year. Still cant believe they didn't win it all after a 3-1 lead. Now they add Durant (dang, wish he hadn't left UT early), what a team.

I never was a heat guy. I'd starve to death if I had to roof for a living. Did some roofing and I still don't know how those guys do it.
Friend of mine would order his steak rare. They would say how rare and he would say just cut its horns off and wipe its arse. Embarrassing when standing in line at Western Sizzler. I can eat mine medium but not mooing. Lol.
Here's a useless rant. Why do they put lemon in my water in a restaurant, and why do I have to order water? Used to be a given.

Not all of them hauling full loads and some haul one way and return empty.
Take I-10 to Los Angeles, out side the city limits there is a sign that says ALL TRUCKS (not personal trucks) exit here. I assume they have warehouses or places to unload their goods to bobtails for in-town delivery. There are no 18 wheelers on the freeways in LA?
