It’s like some think we should respond to every dumb comment someone makes. I thought one in particular couldn’t be anymore assinine than he is on the board until you read his clueless (albeit grammatically unreadable) drivel on the HS boards. But everyone ignores him and doesn’t even comment lol. And I’m not talking about Aces_Full.

Good grief yes on both, especially Munford. He was an animal. How many times you see a kid go for 37 and 7 in a state championship game and he gets overshadowed and takes an L. Devon was just in the “anything you can do I can do better” mode...

Wouldn’t be much of a game next year unfortunately. I agree. This year the game would have been something else. Honestly don’t know who I would favor. Maybe it’s just as well they didn’t play now that I think about it. No arguments about who’s better. They are both the best of the best in their classification. But man it would have been some kind of game.

Losing most of the team. The big man Clover is the only returning starter and really the only Titan who saw serious minutes.

He is a perfect fit for the Tigers. For a team with many personalities and “stars,” a coach who commands the respect Coach Sig does is almost a necessity. I have heard him bark an order on multiple occasions and those boys fall in line like soldiers. Congrats to Coach Sigler on two amazing accomplishments, that collided on the same magical night.

Well, I admit I was hoping DFW was going home completely empty handed. Allen was a very impressive team though. Gritty, disciplined and played so well as a team. Great run by Tompkins though. I would have bet against them for the last 4 or 5 games.

Amen and amen. Kid has been through a lot. But he refused to be defined by the valleys. I’ve said it before and I will say it again - McCain is full of class and heart. For me, this one was a little more special due to his journey.

I would think you nailed it. I would have missed both 6A semifinal games. But I was really impressed in the semis with the way Allen moved the ball and their patience on offense.

Free throws, free throws, free throws. Silsbee finishes 30 of 34 from the line and needed most of them obviously. Some very good Tiger teams of the past would have lost this one because they were average at best from the charity stripe. Hats off to the Cowboys who proved they were definitely Silsbee’s toughest playoff opponent. Congrats Tigers on going back to back!!! Is it too early to talk threepeat???

I think and hope Silsbee’s experience will be the difference and they will accomplish the repeat. But Carter will be their biggest test since before district play began.

I was so glad everyone got a chance to experience playing at State today. Especially if tomorrow is a close one.

I was shocked. If you told me Maxey was going to drop 40+ and Tompkins would win, I would have laughed. Every round I expect Tompkins to lose and every round they keep winning. I like them better against Allen than Westlake too.

Yates would not beat Carter, or Lincoln for that matter, or at least not most of the time. If you’ve seen all 3, you’d understand why. For the same reason Silsbee would beat Yates 8 or 9 times out of 10. Yates system is just not as effective against elite guard play.

I think that’s about right. I think this is probably the best 2 teams in the state playing for it all. I think there were a couple of teams from that region who would have beaten Yates due to the Lions’ system. This should be strength on strength. I expect it to be close and hopefully the Tigers pull away in the end. Carter kids were saying they wanted silsbee. Be careful what you wish for...
