  1. I would not be surprised if it was 10-14 and I would not be surprised if it’s 40. Ole Miss is better than most think. Alabama is on a different level than every team in the country. Clemson, Georgia, Ohio St, (and maybe OU or Auburn) maybe have the talent to give them a compelling game. I’m not sure anyone else can. I might even throw LSU into that bunch although I’m not sold mushmouth is equipped to battle Saban. And no one give me comparison scores of games those teams have played. I’m talking about talent and the ability to get up for an Alabama game and not be intimidated. I would be shocked if the Tide doesn’t run the table. But maybe they’ll find a dog fight before it’s all said and done. Again, when you give the GOAT CFB coach GOAT-type talent with an NFL-caliber QB, it’s almost unfair.
  2. In all fairness, Bama could win by 4 TDs and A&M could still be a legit top 25 team. That’s how far the separation might be in college football right now. Bama is scary with average to below average QB play. With elite QB like they finally have in Tua, they’re terrifying.
  3. Just saw a report on the town of Lumberton, NC. The devastation of that community and many others along the rivers there is very real and heart breaking. Maybe it’s the name of the town but it seemed to hit close to home for them. Sensationalism or not, there are a lot of people hurting on the East Coast. Let’s hope we’ve heard the last of the tropics for this year.
  4. Mack knows coaching. He used to make fun of a certain coach who managed to accomplish as much in his tenure at the University as what aggy has done in over a century.* He also assured us that they would run this state with swagger sumlin. So if he tells that Jumbo is the man, I say take his word for it, extend him, and overpay him even more. Plus, it inflates those revenue numbers for another year or two. You know? *Not including the recently claimed, self-leveling titles that they pathetically claim.
  5. Common misconception is that Tigers2010 is a silsbee guy. I assumed the same. He’s not.
  6. Post of the day!
  7. Only saw a couple of games. Vidor beat LCM by 10ish and OF beat Lumberton by 10ish
  8. Was talking about that tonight. Silsbee and HJ probably the clear cut 1-2 in the district. Ltown/LCM/WOS should be very competitive for the last 2 playoff spots.
  9. Looks like I was wrong. tOSU-TCU drew 7.1 million viewers based on the overnight numbers while Texas-USC drew 2.63m. In fairness, I didn’t consider that USC might not be competitive. I expected a really good game which might draw numbers closer to the 11.1 million viewers who tuned into Texas-ND a few years ago. But at least TCU continues to be an upgrade for our conference....
  10. His obsession knows no bounds. And his continued excitement over early season rankings each year is cute, if a little pathetic
  11. I know. Where is Mr. Buddy Garrity when you need him?
  12. SEC! UNT! SEC! UNT!
  13. We ended up punting after the roughing the punter and they got it at midfield anyway. But you’re right, momentum is a crazy powerful thing sometimes. If they get the points AND the ball there, they might have driven down and scored and been a whole different game. By the way, anyone else as fond of Joel Klatt as I am? Probably my favorite CFB broadcaster. Really, really good.
  14. #moralvictoryU #teamseptember #wejustranoutoftime
  15. Meh, who cares? They will always be moral victory U, mediocre U, etc. in the end, they are pushing an inferior product so whether, it’s Herman, Strong, Brown, whomever, if you can’t make that sale, you are in the wrong business. No one wants a Kia when you can have a Mercedes for the same price. And when your target customers are 18 year old athletes, should be even easier. On a more relevant note, those freshman DBs looked some kind of special, didn’t they? I didn’t even mind the Foster ejection. We need that kind of physicality. Now on to the in-state rival we’ve really struggled with, aka the conference upgrade. We will see if they can keep up this kind of tenacity. The most promising part of tonight was the OL. Regardless of how good or bad USC is, they are probably one of the two most “talented” teams we will face.
  16. Jalen Jackson - UNT commit. It’s news to me if he’s not playing. Definitely their best returning player.
  17. For those of you just getting introduced to Hakeem, he’s an animal on the field and an even better young man off of it. 5 rec for 174 yds and 2 tds so far against OU today. [Hidden Content]
  18. The Clemson Ga So game has nothing to do with aggy sucking. It’s take over a century to refine that level of suckiness.
  19. And btw, ihioga if the State ever made UT use property values from this century, it would surpass even Harvard in endowment.
  20. Also the two richest public schools overall in the country. Of course, little brother is less than half as rich as us. But if they continue the “anyone with a pulse” admissions policy, they may hit 100k students and then who knows? I also hear the University of Phoenix is looking for a partner...
  21. No just pointing out that when talking about ratings, no one tops your daddy. The game last weekend had almost as many viewers as the difference between the most viewed and second most viewed games of all time, both of which involved your daddy.
  22. As someone so eloquently put it to me very recently, he’s never seen an objection over a 5’2” kid from Chester. (No offense meant for anyone from Chester, you can insert Pineland, Fred, or any other small, but assuredly great small town community.)
  23. I honestly didn’t know that program existed. Thanks for ruining my night knowing I will never be able to enjoy what was surely must-see television. Especially if they let him have one of his meltdowns over a rack of ribs.
  24. That’s pretty good. Question: do you know what the two most watched college football games of all time have in common? Hint: they both involve the same team. And in all fairness USC was involved in two of the top 3. But the most watched had almost 5 million more viewers than No. 2 ( and both had more than 30 million viewers). But I would say 4 million sets of eyeballs in a loss is still banner-worthy in some places.
  25. I would bet any amount of money (if this was quantifiable) that Mack has watched the LHN more than me and I’m an alum. The obsession is real man. Very real.
