This is nonsense. Why is Hardin even on HJs schedule in the first place? If anything Sloan is scared. Trying to get a freebie. Nothing against Hardin, but HJ is just on another level. Why not get competition to prepare you for district or playoffs?

I find it very interesting how quick people seem to change their feelings on certain situations.
When the Celina QB did what he did, many people on this site suggested he be suspended for the year including playoffs. The video was spread all over the internet and even put on this site for everyone to see, but nobody complained that he had a future and people shouldn't crucify him for a mistake that he made as a kid.
When the softball catcher a couple of years ago in the state championship game did what she did nobody on here was upset that the video went viral and some even called for the removal of her scholarship. Nobody on this site said "It was a mistake, we should give her another chance. She was just a kid in the heat of the moment."
Why is it that when its one of our own we seem to think differently? What makes this particular situation any different? IMO the only difference is this was a much more vicious assault that could have lead to very serious problems for the young man that was hit.

The kid messed up along with the others involved but the barbaric nature of his blow is what has people so stirred up. Accept the punishment and in my eyes your slate is clean. I was disgusted with what Michael Vick had done with the dog fighting, but the man stepped up took his lumps and to this day I remain a fan not only of the athlete but of the man he became. 
 

yes.  when the topic of the celina qb came up it was pretty unanimous across the board he should've been out for a long while.  that being said, the difference between what he did and what McCain did is that what McCain did could literally kill somebody.  now obviously that was not his intent, but to throw a haymaker from behind at someone much smaller than you who has no idea you're there is beyond dangerous.  As for the kid who threw the punch getting one game, he was involved in a fight with someone who was fighting back.  1 game is too light, IMO, but his situation and McCain's have zero correlation, and can't be compared.

I agree and IMO the only thing that could stop Silsbee is injuries, grades or suspension of any kind. Even when Silsbee has an average shooting night, they're better than most teams at their best.
