  1. all these answers are good. it's when you have a team with a healthy balance of each that you are really set up to succeed.
  2. I did too. He wasn't always the person to outdo you but he always knew someone that had. Sometimes he had to stretch pretty far for the story too. You could say, "I caught a 8.5 pound bass this weekend on Rayburn". His response would be, "That ain't nothing. I have an uncle whose sister-in-law knows a guy that works with a man in Houston and he caught one at 10 pounds the same weekend on a Zebco 33". biggest bass i ever caught...
  3. especially if this team of scrubs we're fielding for the Gold Cup next month can produce a good result...
  4. you should! this is pretty close for US soccer to what the US hockey team did to Russia back in the day... DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES? if we were to play brazil in the final and beat them then i'd couple that to the miracle on ice being that brazil beat us 3-0 the other day....however, spain is the best team in the world, but today we were better...wow, just wow! the only reason i say that is because this spain team easily ranks among the best teams in history. they had just set the international record for consecutive wins (15), and i believe they had gone 38 games without being defeated. this was their first loss since 2006!
  5. none needed, considering how overrated, undertalented and boring UT was this year... i'm pretty pleased with their performance, especially seeing as they were one out away from sweeping the "unbeatable" LSU tigers. great season for both teams, and great showing by both. hopefully we'll get the chance to talk it up on here again next year.
  6. yeah it was... three cheap reds in four games, but this one will hurt the most. on a positive, it was the first one we got late enough in a game that it didn't effect our play, but on a bad note, this is the first one we've received against a player that we will be unable to replace during the next game.
  7. Hey Bon, can Bradley talk now, or does the red card exclude his opinion?

  9. baseball is by far my least favorite of the major college sports. i still enjoy it, and i'll always pull for my horns, but i'm not skipping my first game of the season for this. if it were basketball or football... of course!
  10. there are a lot of parents out there that push their kids harder than the coaches do. before we place the blame on the coach, we need to at least consider the possibility that the parents pushed her to play, and possibly pressured the coach to put her back on the field as well.
  11. i have a soccer game at six, but i fully hope to get home and see Texas in the lead in about the 7th inning!
  12. i'm just glad i won't have to see him on TV as much. he looks like gumby with Down's Syndrome
  13. horns still rolling! got a huge out when LSU left early on a sac fly
  14. Nope. I shoot 73-73-82 to not even place in the 2nd flight. I should have played Presidential, would have taken 2nd. i didn't know you could actually play. remind me never to join up with you on the course. i usually hit 73 by about the 14th hole.
  15. if his score is 4 or 5 strokes better than almost everyone else during the last round, i'd say he made his move. if conditions are tough enough, a string of pars is often good enough to move up the leaderboard.
  16. i hate it when we field teams with a bunch of players that have no business touching the field (and no, i'm not talking about Davy)
  17. 9.53 ERA. this kid really deserved a chance to get in there!!!!!
  18. i think they'll have quite a few pitchers available... they had a lot of guys go, but most of them didn't face many batters.
  19. crap. great game from both teams. it's pretty clear that both teams deserve to be here. hopefully the horns can bounce back tomorrow. they gave this one away...
  20. a shame Texas doesn't know how to hit the longball. if they did, they'd have 10 by now, instead of just 5
  21. LSU pulled one back with a dinger, but still trail 5-4 going to the bottom of the 7th.
  22. i just got home, and i couldn't help but notice that the longhorns are winning... they're so lucky!
