  1. NEW YORK -- Sammy Sosa tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug in 2003, The New York Times reported Tuesday on its Web site, the latest in a string of baseball stars implicated in the sport's steroids scandal of the past decade. The Times said Sosa is one of 104 players who tested positive in baseball's anonymous 2003 survey, which has been the subject of a protracted court fight. The paper did not identify the drug. It cited lawyers with knowledge of the 2003 drug-testing results and reported they spoke on condition of anonymity because they did not want to publicly discuss material under court seal. 2. agreed, Aggie, but seeing as i have no money on it, i'm going to pick tiger. the way he played in his last tournament, and in his last US Open, it's pretty tough to pick against him.
  3. the rangers spanked the stros tonight, 6-1.
  4. yeah, well, you know LSU would've scored 25, but i guess a win is a win.
  5. Final! Those overrated horns keep on winning!
  6. 10-6, 1 out in the top of the 8th, runner on first!
  7. Texas leads 7-6 going into the bottom of the 7th.
  8. He appeared to be dropping a bit, getting down to about .406, but he's 6 for his last 8 over two games to get back up to .426. what do you guys think?
  9. still tied, two out for ASU in the bottom of the 5th

  11. I just got in, but Texas just scored 6 runs in the 4th to tie the game at 6! so much for small ball!
  12. i agree and disagree. i won't say that our soccer players aren't some of the best athletes just because they're 5'8''. being 6'10'' and a good athlete doesn't mean that a basketball player is a better athlete than a guy under 6 feet tall that can run 5 or more miles in a 90 minute game, do things with his feet that most can't do with their hands, and compete in a game that is much more physical than people give it credit for being. that being said, if i'm a 6'6'' gifted athlete, and i'm good enough to make it in the pros in both soccer and another sport, the odds are that the other sport will pay me ten times more to go in that direction. the thing that sets soccer apart in my mind from other sports is that it requires a tremendous amount of both skill AND athletic ability. in most other sports you can get by on one or the other (or sometimes neither, if you're tall enough). that doesn't mean that there aren't athletes in other sports who possess both qualities, because obviously every sport has a ton of athletes who are both skilled and athletic. i'm just saying that every other sport has a large share of players who either excel because they're tall or huge, or just highly skilled.
  13. they also have a QB listed at 6'4'', 265 lbs.
  14. i wouldn't let my child quit high school, even for major money. that's just me, personally.

  16. i didn't see this in time, but i'm always looking to make a run out that way.
  17. well, if you need a complete stranger to fill out the boat and help out with expenses for the next one...
  18. felt like the US got hosed a bit. the red card was not a terrible call, but could just as easily been a yellow. on top of that, if that's a red, the elbow to donovan's face two minutes later should be a red, and an argument could have been made for a red on our PK as it was last man back. i also thought Donovan being used as a ladder in the box in the second half was a clearer penalty than the first call, but it wasn't called. all that being said, i felt like the US played really well. they were beaten by three great strikes, although gooch was to blame for the second goal. the US played well considering the circumstances, and deserved a tie. What a talent Rossi is! two incredible strikes! can you imagine if he'd decided to play for the US? we'd have a legit goal scorer, which i honestly believe would be enough to put us in the top ten in the world.
  19. Man, Gabe must've used his magic on you......he sure has changed your tone and has you singing a much different tune. You must be a follower and not a leader............just kidding. I'm staying w/ the Horns and if they can't win it all, I hope no one does. ;D EH I know better than to say what I said at first LOL. I still find it idiotic to say UT can't win with small ball. UT feels like if they get 3-4 runs, they are going to win 90% with their pitching (which did not show up last night though). Im trying not to laugh at you right now your invited to BWW tonight to watch a REAL CWS team play i might stop by long enough to throw a brick through the window at you.

  21. Orlando Magic sharpshooter Hedo Turkoglu's next shot will be at free agency. Lon Babby, the agent for Turkoglu, told the Orlando Sentinel on Monday that his client will opt out of his contract and become a free agent in two weeks. "It would make sense for him to opt out," Babby told the newspaper by phone. "I can't imagine a scenario in which he would not." June 30 is the first day players can declare for free agency. In Turkoglu's case, it wouldn't matter if the Magic choose to re-sign the 6-foot-10 forward. [Hidden Content]
