They're crucifying him in Cleveland
i honestly think had he not strung cleveland, and the whole franchise, along, and done this professionally, instead of turning it into a 3-ring circus, there would be disappointment in cleveland instead of hatred.

In the span of just a few weeks i've gone from being an indifferent fan who enjoyed watching him to see what he was going to pull off... to a now passionate fan who wants nothing more than to see him fail. I can understand the move, but could he have shown any less class in doing it? Abandon your hometown team? That's tough, but forgiveable for the right reason... string along 6 franchises for weeks, and thus not allowing them to make any other free agency moves while they wait for you to make a decision that you've already made? That's BS. Indulge yourself by creating an hour long espn special for your coming out party? arrogant and self-serving. Of course, espn didn't call him out on any of this... one bland and gutless fraud is not going to ask anything that might make another bland and gutless fraud uncomfortable.

I predict HJ has another "rebuilding" year, and wins between 27-30 games :). I also predict that at least one 21-3A team goes to the regional finals, and most likely represents our area at state.

A male fan, who fell from the second deck to the field level seats while leaning to catch a foul ball hit during Tuesday's game at Rangers Ballpark, was stabilized, responsive and moving his extremities as he was taken to John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth. Texas Rangers officials didn't know the name of the fan, who was described as a middle-aged, white male. The man fell from the club level, hit the railing on the suite level and landed in the lower deck down the first base line. The drop is about 30 feet. Four other fans were injured, but were being treated by paramedics at the stadium. The fan fell after Nelson Cruz hit a foul ball down the right field line in the bottom of the fifth with the Rangers leading the Cleveland Indians 3-1. The man attempted to catch the ball and tumbled over the railing. The event left the ballpark silent and play was suspended for 16 minutes as the field was cleared. Several players were bowing their heads and appeared to be praying while others watched intently as paramedics were attending to the fan. He was taken off by a stretcher.

We lost 1 game all year, going something like 30-1-3. There's definitely enough talent in this area to make some very competitive teams, it's just a matter of consolidating the talent, and trying to keep our best players from going to Houston (Matt Kirby being a recent example)
Bullets did you play with Matt Kirby?
no, he's younger than me, but he's a good example of the type of players we lose to houston.

ABUJA, Nigeria -- The president of Nigeria has suspended the national soccer team from international competition for two years after a poor showing at the World Cup. Ima Niboro, a spokesman for President Goodluck Jonathan, made the announcement Wednesday, saying the ban would enable the country to reorganize its football administration. Niboro said that all funding for the World Cup squad, including the hiring of Swedish coach Lars Lagerback, would be investigated. Nigeria was eliminated from the World Cup with just one point, which came in a 2-2 draw with South Korea in its final game. Nigeria lost to Argentina 1-0 in its Group B opener and fell to Greece 2-1 in a game turned by the first-half expulsion of midfielder Sani Kaita. The Super Eagles haven't won a World Cup match since 1998, going out with two losses and a draw in 2002 and failing to qualify for Germany 2006. The Nigerian Football Federation's executive committee had earlier tendered an apology to the government and "all football loving Nigerians" for the early exit. Nigeria risks being banned by FIFA, soccer's governing body, from all international soccer because of the political interference. "At the time of writing, we have no official information on this matter," FIFA said in a statement. "However, in general, FIFA's position regarding political interference in football is well known." Nigeria's next scheduled international match is a qualifier for the 2012 African Cup of Nations, at home against Madagascar in early September. FIFA rules demand that national federations manage their affairs independently, or face suspension from world soccer. National and club teams, plus referees, would be barred from participating in international matches and soccer officials are prevented from attending meetings. FIFA president Sepp Blatter had already expressed concern over the French government's investigation into France's surprising first-round exit from the World Cup. "Definitely I can tell you that political interference will be dealt with by FIFA notwithstanding what kind of interference and what is the size of the country," Blatter said Tuesday in remarks about France.

the rangers picked up a big win against the angels tonight! the win puts them 4 1/2 up in the division. what an incredible June! The rangers have won 8 straight series, and 14 of 16 games. They're 21-6 in June, and 17 games over .500. Right now they're tied with the Yankees for the best record in baseball! -
I am off from now until July 10th and I might make some nighttime fishing trips if the weather will clear up from this storm. I will have to check and see how the tides are running.
cool. PM me if you want to make a trip one night.

I had the good sense to find a line of work with summers off, so i'm free most nights. mondays, tuesdays and wednesdays i play soccer, but i'm still usually done by 8-8:30. I'm willing to go with any of you guys, and even better, you're welcome to any fish i catch. i love to fish, but i hate to clean them. so, tvc, vp, ecbuc, or anyone else, if you're going out any time over the next couple of weeks, and want some company (and hopefully an extra limit of fish), pm me and we'll work it out.
