You should see the home run deck they are building in left field........ Plus got a new batting cage that was throw down for the girls. Sorry but back to the game.
and i just figured out who you are :)  good to have you back!  i was proud of the girls!!!
 2. CJ at 74 pitches should be good for at least 7, maybe 8 innings if he can avoid any major trouble.
My favorite World Series in the last 20 years is the one where Luis Gonzalez and his Diamondbacks beat the yankees
How about the Gibson HR? Not bad.
well that was 30 years ago
also, it wasn't against the yankees...
 4.
CC, 2nd shortest outing in his postseason history.  c ya CC, don't you come back
heck, the way he looked tonight, they can start him every game of the series for all i care :)
 5.

i'm trying to figure out why CC, who's been all over the place, is getting the borderline call, and CJ, who's had decent command, is getting squeezed on close pitches.
Seriously? Bullets have to hand it to you bc you are one of the better mods on here. Appreicate your objectvity sp and not yanking our chains on comments.
i have too much fun dishing it out, and if i'm gonna dish it out, i'm gonna take it as well, which i've been doing a lot of this year as a longhorn/cowboy fan.  i'm a big time sports fan, but don't hold too many local allegiances beyond HJ basketball, so i don't get all upset when people talk a little trash on some of the local programs.   and yes, i'm sure i'm viewing it through homer eyes, but i thought a couple of called strikes in the 5th could've been balls for the rangers, and a couple of balls in the 5th could've been strikes, including the curve that granderson took before eventually walking :)
 6. another great job by CJ pitching out of trouble!
 7. i'm trying to figure out why CC, who's been all over the place, is getting the borderline call, and CJ, who's had decent command, is getting squeezed on close pitches.
 8. is the national league still playing?  i'm with you, though.  i'm pulling for the giants.
 9. CC at 93 pitches after 4.  he's been knocked around, and he's been pretty lucky or it might by worse.  we'll see the yankee bullpen next inning if he struggles, or in the 6th unless he has a very quick inning.
 10. HUGE hit by michael young!  glad we had a fast one on first!  5-0 rangers lead!!!!

 12. rangers living on the edge a bit.  CJ gets out of a 2-on, 2-out jam, but Posada hit the ball well, just right at Cruz.  the rangers need to start taking advantage of their chances as well.  this game should be 5-6 to 0 right now.  you can't let the yanks hang around.
 13. CC at 67 pitches after only 3 innings.
 14. i'm with you, 13.  i'm not a big fan of teams that buy championships.
 15. rangers fail to capitalize on a runner on 3rd with 1 out.  again a bit unlucky as a nellie smashed a ball with one out but RIGHT at AROD.
 16. great job by Wilson to get out of the jam!  3-0 rangers, going to the bottom of the 3rd.
 17. 3 up 3 down for the rangers in the 2nd, but they did make CC work in the 1st two at bats, and his pitch count has ballooned to 50.
 18. what a play!  nellie wasn't going to get that one!
 19.

CC just got bailed out.  what an unlucky bounce for the rangers.  i'd like to see another angle to that replay to see if that was the right call or not.
that was terrible luck. I slowed down my VCR, the play was bang, bang..foot was touching plate just as CC was tagging elbow
another run would've been huge, but i'm not going to bitch about a 3-0 lead after the 1st, and CC with a pitch count of 36 after only 1 inning.

 21. a single by cruz.  the only out so far for CC is a 402 foot flyout by vlad.  a very good sign for the rangers that the 3 rangers they needed to pick it up have done so.  after being essentially non-factors in the 1st series, young singles sharply, Hambone hits a 3-run bomb, and vlady misses a HR by about 5 feet.
 22. what a start!  vlad almost hit one right after that, too.  hit it to the wall, granderson caught it reaching up and leaning against the wall.
 23. great start for CJ wilson, 3 up 3 down in the top of the 1st.
 24.

I thought it was pretty cool that the rangers celebrated with ginger ale out of respect for his previous battles with drugs and alcohol.  when they clinched the division, he had not participated to avoid being around the alcohol.  they waited until he left the room to bust out the champagne.
ONLY reason I would not mind seeing Texas win it all is bc of Hamilton and N Ryan. CLASS
i'm not just saying this because they're my team:  this team is full of class.  no steroid controversies, no jerks, just a bunch of hardworking baseball players who say and do all of the right things.
 25. Beechnut, you're right, the Yankees are not the Rays.  They're not as good, and the Rangers matchup better against them.  If the Rangers pitch as well as they did against the Rays, the Yankees will have trouble manufacturing runs like the Rays were capable of doing.  Still, they ARE the yankees.  I'm calling this series a tossup:  I expect it to go at least 6 games, maybe 7.  Also, wondering what y'all think about this:  I'm actually glad the rangers had to face an elimination game against the Rays.  Sure, had they swept, confidence would have been sky-high, but now the rangers have had a gut-check, and they've passed it.  I think it will be valuable experience for them as they go up against the Yankees, who are sure to provide them with plenty more gut-checks.  Had they not had any problems with the Rays, we'd have to worry about how the young Ranger players would handle adversity when they have a tough game against the yanks.  Now they have the experience and confidence to know they're capable of pulling out a win when their backs are against the wall.
